I used to always do it for a while, cause I thought it made me look cool. But I stopped cause I got paranoid of getting arthritis from it in the future.

So do you crack your knuckles all the time? Is it really bad for your joints?

I do. From what I've been told, it's not bad as it just releases something (a gas, I think) in between your joints and also releases endorphins. I dno.

I used to always crack my knuckles but I stopped because my uncle got holes in the middle of each knuckle. He told me that he always cracked his knuckle so it turned out like that. I haven't done it in a number of years and I'm not sure about the pros and cons, but it's just something that I heard. The sound of the knuckle cracking when someone else is doing it is kind of weird because (to me) it sounds like they've broken their bones D:

That's what I've heard, too. There's no direct link between popping knuckles and arthritis. In any case, I'm awful about doing it. At first I could only do it like once per day but I've gotten so used to doing it that I'm pretty much constantly cracking my knuckles.

I do the same thing, being able to pop my elbows. In the mornings, I can bend my wrists forward and they pop.

..I'm gross. xD

I crack every joint in my body.

I'd kill from someone to crack the bones in my spine.
I bet that'd feel like heaven.

You're forgetting one. Your ankles. Feels good. I don't usually crack my back. I'm just too lazy to do it. But it's nice when I do. Fingers constantly. Neck same. It's just become a habit now.

Just like how I used to peel the cuticles of my thumbs and they got infected and the semi circle part of the nail was missing and the skin under was swollen. And eventually the whole nail. It's fine now.

yah i can do my ankles and toes too.

and as for my back, i can do the top portion of my back, the bottom, pretty much all parts of my back in different ways.

im pretty good at popping the top part of other peoples backs too (between the shoulder blades). Just lay them down on their stomach, put the palms of your hands between their shoulder blades on either side of their spine and make them take a deep breath. apply pressure as they're exhaling (SLOWLY) and when they've let it all out (they should be totally relaxed at this point) snap down really quickly with the heels of your palms.

javonn: just extend your arm and twist.

I crack my ankles, toes, knees, back, elbow, neck, fingers, thumbs repeatedly, wrists, and elbows. I used to crack my back in 3 different ways but now I only do it where I lean backwards, put my arms behind and push in while i lean back into it. I used to find a chair or something and turn to the right or left and pull to crack my back, but that turned out to be bad for my not so normal vertebrae that's got a fracture on it. I also used to pull my head forward to crack my upper back / neck more, but now I just tilt my head to the left or right to crack my neck that way. The way I was doing it got me a pinched nerve, which is no fun.

yeah, I forgot about toes. Good call. Yeah, I remember when I didn't crack anything, it hurt so bad. You just gotta keep doing it. It's like smoking. It sucks at first and you don't know why people do it, but you find out after a while.

And I can't crack to of my fingers because of a hockey accident. My right thumb and right index finger. My writing fingers. Awesome.
