I never read it but I watched the movie. People said the book was better just like every time they turn a book into a movie.

go look it up. this thread is about the davinci code.

so yeah back on topic, i've read all dan brown's books and i think angels and demons is the best. anyone who likes the da vinci code should read that, it has the same main character. deception point is good too. digital fortress was alright, not as good as the others.

I actually never read the book. Senior year my English teacher wanted to go see the movie, and that's when we had a feild trip to the movie theatres LOL. Can anyone tell me the differences between the book and movie, or which was better?

yes b-noxious, that is good. real gangsters read books. go get your read on!

the book is better tung. i thought the movie was ok too though. just didn't have time in the movie to go into all the details, so that was the main difference/why it wasn't as good.

But really, I thought the movie was excellent. After seeing it, I read the book, and thoroughly enjoyed that also. Dan Brown is an awesome writer.

The book was about a million times better than the movie. Although the movie seemed like it cut out a lot of things from the book, it still felt wordy and needed too much verbal explanation. The movie was far too literal; it's like you didn't need to think at all, what with the complete lack of metaphors and symbolism as per other great movies. I felt like I was watching a movie where they were just reading lines from the book. I mean, if I want to hear someone say lines from a book, I'd rather read the book. In a movie, I'd rather see visual interpretations of a novel.

Also, Tom Hanks looked really gross with the hair (you might appreciate Audrey Tatou, though). Truly the most disappointing book-to-movie film I've ever seen.

I thought the book was awesome. When I heard the movie was coming out I expected it to suck, but it was pretty on track, imo. _smile.gif

I loved that book.
Although, I liked Angels & Demons better. That one was more suspenseful.

So true. The twists were awesome, and everything was so much easier to visualize than in The Da Vinci Code.
