LOL i made a topic about how fish always die...jaeman do you have any tips for uh regular goldfish [I don't remember anything else about them] just in regular water and in a stone trough? we tested the ph and everything and it was fine...we've tried like literally 40 fish [not at all once] in there and they've all died It could've been that there wasn't enough beneficial bacteria in the water to sustain the goldfish and there could've been the variable of temperature, most goldfish are coldwater fish and if the temperature seemed hot, they die. |

random: adj.
1. Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective relevant: adj. 1. Having to do with the matter at hand; to the point. you say something is ghetto, she asks why. pretty relevant imo QUOTE It could've been that there wasn't enough beneficial bacteria in the water to sustain the goldfish and there could've been the variable of temperature, most goldfish are coldwater fish and if the temperature seemed hot, they die. how do i take care of the whole beneficial bacteria thing then? we had those other er fish type things that sucked stuff off the sides, should we not have had those fish? |

I love it when people insult others using the word "RETARD/RETARDED" and misspell or misuse it.

You have just stepped into my office, I'm an avid aquarist too and I'm pretty big on the subject. You've stated that you just bought an aquarium. Please do not tell me you already bought fish because if you did, then you just wasted money and ultimately, killed some fish. When you buy a new aquarium, you should not buy fish for another one or two weeks. This is because you must set up your aquarium first, with all the decorations you intend to have in it. Of course, you must wash the gravel in warm water, along with any other decorations you'll put in it. You fill it with water and add some proper dechlorination chemicals. You let it run with the filter on for one or two weeks, as I stated earlier. This is known as the cycling period. Alright, I got myself going. I suggest you look through the internet for articles on aquarium care and maintenance. Or if you prefer, just PM me, I have waay to much to say. I didn't buy any fish. I thought it was 24 hours for the filtration period? I neutralized everything, I think I'm going to go buy some PH papers to see what I can do. Is a salt-water setup difficult to do? |

My boyfriend has a tank and my best friends boyfriend has 3.
Salt water tanks are a lot more difficult, time-consuming and expensive to take care of, so I'd say start with the freshwater and see how you do with that one for awhile before taking on a saltwater tank. |

I am really not fond of fish at all. I remember when my step moms goldfish died, they chased me around the house with it and I had a panic attack. Yes, I am a girly man.

1. Never clean the fish tank, fish liek it like that.
2. Never add ph, etc. 3. Pour half the food can into their tank everyday, make sure they have plenty to eat. 4. Make sure to constantly tap the glass, they love the attention. 5. If they die do not take them out of the tank, his fish friends will burry him secretly at night, Let them mourn. 6. After 2 weeks you will realize you really don't like fish. |
