They don't last long, It's VERY painful, and you will probably need to get it touched up within a few months of it healing.

They can put anything you want there and the cost is relative to where you live and the size. Where I live it could cost 40 dollars to get a tiny star, since tattoo shops have minimum prices.

You should look around for the most experiecnced artist in your area.

I would not get it if I were you. It is not worth it.

My tattoo artist had just given herself an inner-lip tattoo before she did mine and she told me it hurt like a bitch (and this is coming from a lady that has almost every single foot of her body tattooed). She wanted to see why so many people got 'em, so she tried it and said she'd never do it again since lip tattoos fade pretty fast and need touching up every so often.

You have to get it done three times for it to stay permanent.

Your questions prove that you know NOTHING about tattoos. Of course they can do any font. It's not like it's a type writer stuck to your lip. They're DRAWING it, which means you can print out whatever you want on your inner lip and they'll use a tattoo gun to draw it in.

As for pain, everyone has different pain levels. Obviously, some people will consider it to be nothing, where others might cry or even pass out.

I've seen many different ones. BERNIS is 6 letters long. Unless your inner lip is somehow half an inch, then it will definitely fit in there.

That is an inner lip tattoo. I think they look tacky on girls usually, but some guys can pull them off. I've never seen a girl with one (IRL) that could pull it off. shrug.gif

Anyway, Bernis will fit. But honestly, I don't think its worth it.

One of the Miss Universe / Miss Teen Universe / Miss World girls has a crown on her inner lip. It's very cute.

I saw some couple on Next get it done. That was when I watched MTV.

But, it does look (and sound) really painful. I agree with pretty much everyone else; it's not worth it.

It's a big fad here for guys to get "Pussy Eater" on their inner lip.

Since then I have hated them.

I got a heart there once.
It's not there anymore.

I don't even count that as one of my tattoos. It might as well have been a temporary tattoo.
I didn't pay for it because one of my best friends is also my tattoo artist, but if you have to pay for it I promise it is a waste of money.

Where the hell did you get 2 tattoos but not know that they can put different fonts in your lip?

If they have the room to do it, they will.

If they are a good artist they will tell you when it will look too cluttered.

"Bernis" in Old English would look really cluttered since your inner lip is only so big and Old English fonts need to be big-ish so you can see the detail and make out the letters.

It's a forum, dude. Forums are for discussion, you can't tell people not to post just because they don't have lip tats. If they have something to say, then they will. You can't keep the from doing so. _smile.gif

I do agree. It would be really hard to read if it was Old English.
With that said, you can still get other font types, just something that will fit and be readable.

I have an inner lip tattoo. It was my first tattoo and it didn't hurt one bit. It just felt like I had a piece of gum stuck in between my teeth and lip for a few days.

Haha, as much as I hate to say it, but I agree with Jocelyn on this one.
It just seems tacky. And since they hurt, I definitely don`t think it`s worth the pain.

IMO.
