Gays of Create Blog

So I decided to start a gay support system on Create Blog. I don't want to be preaching to all of you; I don't want to change your minds. But this is just a little topic that has been running through many minds of teenagers these days and I am always willing to give advice on this topic.

For all of you who don't know who I am, I'm Kimo. I am a gay. I came out at the age of 13 to everyone at school and later my family. Coming out is a nervous expirince for everyone, but in the end, when you are able to live your live the way you want to, it's worth it.

So come on Create Blog, let's exterminate homophobia!

ok so going back to my point;
how many people on CB's are actually gay? srsly.
i'm not saying there's none, 'cause there's gotta be some.
now asking my questions again: why CB's? why not start a support group in some other online community with an abundance of gays.

to me, it just sounds like you're one of those idiots who thinks gay is cool, and is going through the phase of telling everybody you see but never date a guy in your life. IMO, you're just waisting your pathetic thoughts on NOTHING.

You know what? FINE! If you want to make me feel less than or w/e I'm out. YOU guys can support any gay people who come on and join CB. When I found CS, I thought it was GREAT. Until the members made me feel less than and stupid... I don't like CB anymore. If you want me out.. just tell me.

I dont want you to leave.
I understand perfectly on how the LBGT community gets discriminated upon. But at the same time you have to be Lighthearted and open with it.

No one is putting you down or trying to put you down. (At least I am not)But understand that people may not see eye to eye with our lifestyle and especially since you are at a younger age people may question if you are sincere.Im 18 now and ive been Bi since around 7th/8th grade so I know that this is the way i am for life. But in the past ive seen people just be confused or just experimenting with it.Sometimes you may just have to ignore what others think and keep preaching what you feel is right. Then its up to the people to either take it or leave it.

You know if you don't go around telling people you're gay, you don't have to deal with it. If you don't spark the conversation then no one says anything.

You cant expect people to be nice otherwise we probably would have gay marriage.

Just ignore the bad comments and keep on promoting what you feel is right.

does being gay make you lose your sense of humor? seriously. that video was supposed to make you laugh and you chose to get offended by it. half of those comments you quoted were just questioning your real grasp of the issues you so adamantly fight for.

also, threatening to leave is like the last thing you want to do here. no one CARES what you do, kid. no one. if you want to leave, then leave. I personally see no reason to.

Things on your to do list:
Get a sense of humor.
Learn your actual rights before you start preaching about them.
Stop caring what other people think.

Yeah, let's make fun of the gay kid some more!

"In the United States, the FBI reported that for 2006, hate crimes against gays increased to 16%, from 14% in 2005, as percentages of total documented hate crimes across the US. The 2006 annual report, released on November 19, 2007, also said that hate crimes based on sexual orientation are the third most common type, behind race and religion.[1]"

"Three-quarters of students surveyed across America said that over the past year they heard derogatory remarks such as "f****t" or "d*ke" frequently or often at school, and nearly nine out of ten reported hearing "that's so gay" or "you're so gay" - meaning stupid or worthless - frequently or often.

Over a third of students said they experienced physical harassment at school on the basis of sexual orientation and more than a quarter on the basis of their gender expression.

Nearly one-in-five students reported they had been physically assaulted because of their sexual orientation and over a tenth because of their gender expression.
[2]"

Oh, and there is a decent article on reddit today full of gory pictures. Yeah! Gays are just like us, we just kick their asses so much more!

Most people don't frame non-family pictures, because magazine tear-outs are considered pin-ups.

I'm gay, I just contrasted him to myself.

GENERALIZATION
i frame everything. or at least "fake frame" because i don't have the $$$ to buy frames. i mean fake framing as in making my own out of paper.

i have random programs from memorable concerts framed in my room... papers and pictures that remind me of times with friends, certificates and awards - it's not uncommon, at least at my place and my friends' places too.

anyway, supporting gay rights is cool with me.
supporting obnoxious, ignorant folk - not so much?

I wasn't telling him he was an idiot for forming a group to discuss his rights. I insinuated that he was being an idiot for not even knowing the rights that he wanted to discuss. If he's going to argue for something, he should at least know what that thing is today.

So there is this youtube video about Gay Violence.

The video showed a study they did with like over 60 college kids with half of them that are straight but didnt really care about homosexuals, the other half was straight guys that were homophobes.

The study had all of the guys watch a gay porno and they also had to wear a device that measured their arousal, (it measured how erect their penis became).

Then after the video they would answer a question. "On a Scale of 1 to 10 how much did that video arouse you?"

the results-

The straight non-homophobes were mostly non aroused and mostly said that they were not aroused.

the straight homophobic people said they were no way aroused but but but most of them had a higher arousal rate than the straight non homophobes.

So all in all the homophobic straight guys were more aroused than the straight guys who didnt really care about homosexuals.

Something to throw on the table and ponder about. I will put up the video once i find it.
