Okay consistency is fine and all, but me calling someone a piece of shit should be left alone unless the person bitches and moans about it. If they bitch and moan about it, it goes back to my point that they shouldn't be on the internet then. If they're going to get on the internet, then don't go around trying to push your weight around or tell people that they're doing it all wrong and expect them not to respond in an unfriendly manner.

I didn't start this w/ aestheticYOU. She proved to be an idiot and was quite annoying, so I felt like annoying her back. Apparently it worked. Now piss off.

Of course, out of the lower staff though I personally thought Trish and JC would be best to add to the bunch that I am looking over.

In the near future I will be promoting 1 or 2 people to the admin position if their interested. Jusun said he likes to have at least 3 admins and I don't have a problem with that.

What about the few that have been on for staff for like a while now.....?

Well member bashing shouldn't be taken lightly..and with member bashing I think name calling goes under that. No matter if the other person that is being called names gripes and moans about it, the staff should take it as member bashing which is against the rules and put out a verbal warning if they find necessary. Like I said before, I think at this point the staff needs to come together and make a list of what offenses should be taken in and what type of punishment should go with it.

I stand by Josh's choice to verbally warn you. It's not like it is an actual warning and is going to affect you in any way, other than kindly asking you to please stop with the name calling.

You guys choose to break the rules that are in plain black and white..that is your choice. As the staff I personally think we should be able to tell people when their going against the rules and when it needs to stop. There is a fine line between going against the rules and not.

Yes I did think about everyone that is on staff right now and the first people that really came to mind Diana when I thought about it was JC and Trish. I'm sorry if that offends you in any way what so ever.

Well, I verbally warn Josh for every time he has name-called and insulted someone.

That should amount to a warning of 500*00000% by now.

Alright after Suzzette deleted the forums all warn logs were erased. If he has been warned after that happened then of course he should have a warning history. And yes I do know when Suzzette deleted the forum I am pretty sure he had a warning.

I don't give a fuck about the verbal warning, or if I get warned for that matter. It's the principle.

I expect that staff, should they curse at someone or bash them, will be suspended for a suitable amount of time. It's more severe because they should be leading the example, now that we're an being run as an elementary school.

It was like 30%. He cursed more than Seon Ho + Podomaht + Kryogenix. They had hit and runs. He had hit, hit, and more hit, yet I chose not to warn him because I found some of his "antics" amusing. I used personal judgment and decided it was fine. Nate wasn't being a little pussy and bitching about it, because maybe he realizes that is't the internet? Regardless, by our recent standards, Josh should have been IP banned.

Okay, yea I agree that sounds like something good to do. As staff we do have moderator guidelines that we should be following. So do you guys as a community think they should lose their staff titles and just become normal members if they can't abide by the rules?

Personally I think that would be best..or at first their talked to about what is the problem and their closely watched for a week and if there is no improvement then they lose their staff titles.

Honestly guys when you were on staff then why didn't you just IP ban him? I wasn't a admin back then, I was design staff. If you guys thought so highly that he should have been IP banned then he should have been IP banned.

Holly you're not getting it. I didn't think he should be IP banned, I still don't. I'm saying by y'alls current scritness, he should have been. It would have been f**king ridiculous to do so. We had something that's sounding pretty damn foreign to you right now. A SENSE OF HUMOR

No but for serious, LIGHTEN UP.

Yes, I thought we were opting for leniency... since a LOONG TIME AGO!

I think Josh is just a people staff noobie who thinks that because of his title, his former reputation has been castrated and he has the right to act as if he is the Virgin Mary.

He will learn in time. (hopefully)

I agree. The young lad will catch on and will learn in due time! I think our best bet is to talk down to him until he lightens up.

Re-read my previous posts. Maybe you'll get an idea. I really do hope you'll be smart enough to figure it out on your own without this delinquent that I am helping out.

Lighten up on the outrageous punishments. You became Admin and didn't punish anyone for anything for a whiiiile, and all of the sudden you start busting out bans and suspensions that are out of line...and you only did it when the person offended you, not anyone else.

Fact.

If this is not in fact the case, explain why you did nothing before the recent events.

Well I like things to be in plain black and white in front of me of what I should work on. It's how I've always been. You can tell me to go read all your posts once again and I'm going to interpret the same thing that I did the first thing. The only thing that I really see is that your frustrated that you got verbally warned for not even doing something that other memebers having been doing and didn't even receive anything.

Which in that case.. I wouldn't see how I would need to lighten up. If your referring to what has happened so far. Yanlin on mod preview for 2 weeks.. she posted porn. Went against the rules and thats why shes put on mod preview. She isn't anymore though. Tung and his suspension. He isn't suspended, he has a forum mask over his username so he can only view createblog as a guest would be able to..and its going to stay like that until the staff as a team comes to an agreement of what his punishment should be.

I think I'm doing just fine. And as long as I am content with myself then its all good to me. If any of you specific suggestions as to what I should do, then leave them and I'll be sure to work on them if I find it necessary.

read post after.

Holly, I like you, but that just makes you seem very selfish when you say that. It's wrong for an administrator to assume that being complacent is the one goal in that position. You're the administrator of a group of people, not yourself. Reality check! wink.gif

(To Holly, not Michelle)

Dear lord. I usually don't make a big deal about these types of things, but you're being a complete hypocrite. You're the person that sat there complaining about when mods would disregard criticisms posted by other members whenever they thought it didn't apply to them or something. You're the one who pushed people to say whatever they want to a mod, especially if they think they're doing something wrong. Now you're saying that as long as you think you're doing OK, then you're doing OK, no questions asked? Obviously you think you're doing OK, you're you. You're not gonna be like, "Ya know, I'm a shitty mod, and I'm just gonna keep being shitty."

This is something you need to work on if you're going to be an Admin. You CANNOT take things on a personal level. If people insult you, make fun of you, make pictures of you, whatever, you CANNOT overreact. It's going to happen a lot. You're an Admin. People beat on the Admin the most out of anyone. That was Suzzette's problem and that's why Kiera and I never, ever wanted her to be Admin -- she's too personal. The way you've been reacting lately is on a personal level and you've been OVERreacting. You need to have as little bias as you can and look at each situation with a rational and calm head. You can't just punish willy nilly.

Oh I didn't mean it in any way like that XD, I really need to choose my words carefully.

If I find that the staff as a whole a team is doing good then I think thats what matters most and if the community is content with them as well. Right now its not that way and I'm open to any criticism that is available. Please be as exact as possible as to what needs to be worked on.. I can be stupid from time to time and not get it. >_>

Edit

haha, I'm taking things seriously? No I'm not, I personally don't care if someone has something against me on this website. I wasn't offended what so ever by the image that Tung made. I wouldn't have even punished him except all I knew about was the Jeanna thing and when someone is being sexually harassed or feels that way then its not going to be tolerated. This is a teenage based website...

also sammi..how would you know if I was taking things on a personal level or not? You don't even know the whole situation at hand. And I don't have anything personal against it to be honest.
