I feel as though we should change the name of 'private messages'.

1. It says private. That is definitely not acceptable by any standards in today's society.

2. When typed in abbreviations, it's PMs, but some people just put pms. How disheartening to women is that?

3. I mean really, it's time for a chance.

I don't have an alternative, but since I was a former member of the staff team, my opinion and ideas should be closely examined.

A scenario is usally backed with an opinion. But oddly enough, on the site I went to before this one, "buddypic.com" They were not PMs they were BPs.. Which would be the abbreviation of a "Buddy Pic" which doesn't really have anything to do with a message of any sort.

There's always the option to not abbreviate the word, or simply call it a message. The only thing that can go wrong is someone could say they gave you a massage.. shrug.gif
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, thanks.

Any other opinions?

What are you talking about JC? This is as legit as they come.

Besides, I should be respected for my past contributions.

I don't think it's to mock your topic Thomas... I think it's just a "PMS" joke.

There's a school called Pierce Middle School around here and we played them in volleyball in seventh grade and cracked up cause their shirts said "PMS".

While we're on the PMS tangent...

This wouldn't help change the problem of "pms," but I was thinking it should stand for "personal messages."
