Other than saying that it varies or it depends on the guy/girl or that it's all about true love, what is a circumstance for a person that you wouldn't really see yourself being able to accept? Maybe because it's so different from yours. Such as being divorced and having kids, being poor, having a reputation as a cheater, being a vegan, whatever.

For me, I couldn't date someone who has been married and had kids with them, because that's sort of the bond that never goes away, so I can't handle seeing remaining pieces of his previous relationships in mine all of the time.

Oh wow. Well I would never date a girl who's been passed around numerously if you know what I mean. Would I f**k her? Of course. Date her? Naw. Also, I would never date anyone who are mad cheap. I'm sorry, they have to at least be able to spend things normally, and not nitpick.

I don't think that I'd be able to date someone who's "heavily" religious. Being moderately religious might be fine, but I'm not sure. For me, many of my beliefs are very much against most mainstream religions, i.e. Christianty, Islam. To be with someone who will not support my beliefs, is unacceptable.

okay, to add a few more things.
- I am unable to even think of possibly dating someone who is not at...at least the same intellectual level as I am.
- I will not date someone who is not in college or has been to college. And a college of a certain level. I won't be able to date someone whose college they went to, I haven't heard of before in the sense that it was so bad that I haven't heard of it.
- If they don't have a sense of direction in life. I don't care if that direction will change, but if they have no dreams for themselves, it won't work out.
- If they can't stand the fact that I am a feminist.
- Someone who does not know how to dress.

my town, all you can do is drink and having babies out of wedlock.
so it's kinda hard finding a guy who isn't a drunk.

my list is:
-wangsta [lot of them here]
-hillbilly and proud!!11
-drunk
-a man whore who is extremely popular with the partying scene like clubs
-a very strong religious person

well. insignificant quesion at the moment since im in a long term relationship... but id have to agree with misoshiru.
im very anti religion... so needless to say, it just wouldnt work.

there is a certain level of intelligence i look for too. not necessarily 'book smart' but just, you know, someone i could actually keep up a civilized conversation with.

number one reason why i would would NEVER be able to date any of my guy friends... most of their desired conversations revolve around whether ive been 'with a woman' or not.

I didn't even think about this one. Yes, I could not go out with an extreme party guy who's into concerts, clubs, and consuming ecstasy. Fortunately my boyfriend is the most secluded person, ever.

What would be the extent to guys who like to party? As in, the max would be once a month? once every 2 weeks?

People go to clubs with the clear intention of waiting to get laid. I can't think of anyone who goes to clubs to "have fun" when having fun does not entail innocent entertainment, but to have guys/girls checking you out, and you're checking guys/girls out.

Once a month is already too much for me. I prefer that my partner is not into this.

^ uh...I do go clubs to have fun not to check out guys or want them to check me out. I go to clubs with my friends for all of us to have fun. And that just offended me.

Well, not to get entirely off-topic, but I was talking about guys, for the most part. I've met far more than enough guys who love to go clubbing because it's like a god damned buffet of vagina for them.

Sure, you may go to clubs to have fun with your friends, but you can't tell me that you never spot guys checking you out or coming up to you to talk to you. It may all be in "good fun" in your head and think nothing of it, but clubs and bars are the two most popular places to pick up people. That's just a fact? I wasn't personally attacking you.

I understand that it wasn't directed at me. But I do have friends who do go to clubs not to pick up girls. They're completely straight, but especially at clubs in Asia, you don't go there to pick up girls.

Haha you all have such low standards.

Nobody would date a:

pothead
T.V. evangelist
ugly/dirty person
alcoholic
sex addict
high school dropout
stripper
whore

etc...

However, I could come to terms with going out with a vegan...

I couldn't date a guy that didn't like tattoos, was straight edge or just didn't do drugs or drink, that didn't accept my religion or lack thereof, that didn't treat me with respect, that didn't have his shit together, that couldn't support me if I happened to get pregnant, that I could have intelligent conversations with.

I am really really really picky. That list could go on for day.
