You don't even know me, so how you know what I'm like? Just grow up and leave me the hell alone.

omg lol. you come back and that's why you do.

"Marijuana Side Effects
Short-term marijuana side effects include memory and learning problems, distorted perception, and difficulty thinking and solving problems. Many people notice euphoria, relaxation, a sense of wellbeing, sleepiness, increased appetite, and better music appreciation. Others may not like the effects and could experience unpleasant thoughts and paranoid feelings.
Long term side effects of heavy and regular marijuana use include lung disease, chronic cough, mucus, nasal congestion, lack of motivation, decrease in sexual desire.... Heavy and regular consumption of tmarijuana triggers psychosis and schizophrenia in a small number of people. MRI tests show patients given the active cannabis compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) have reduced function in the inferior frontal cortex brain region. This area is associated with controlling inappropriate emotional and behavioral responses to situations."

"Evidence shows that tar from cannabis cigarettes contains 50% more cancer causing carcinogens than tobacco." Surveys carried out earlier this year showed that 79% of children believed that cannabis was 'safe'.

Only 2% understood correctly that there are health risks associated with smoking the drug."
createblog must have been part of that test! -source

Drinking doesn't bother me near as much as smoking does. In fact, it's proven that having a glass of wine a day or every two days is healthy. I'm not saying I'd ever do it (you're still running risk for alcoholism, blood pressure problems, etc.), but it's not entirely bad either.

Red wine, and grape juice would serve the same purpose.

And guuuuuuuys.. pretty much EVERYTHING kills brain cells. So basically what it comes down to is using common sense and doing everything responsibly and in moderation. There is absolutely no use in arguing over whether weed, alcohol, or cigarettes is more harmful, because they're harmful in different ways. But no, for god's sake, smoking every so often isn't going to have too much of a lasting impact. Also, Sandra, cocaine is actually physically addictive, which pot isn't. Between that fact and all of the other more severe effects cocaine, it hardly makes sense to tell someone who smokes a lot of weed to go try cocaine while they're at it, because it's hardly the same.

Not to say that it's good for you of course- a lot of people seem to think that smoking pot won't effect their lungs, but they're still smoking, so that definitely isn't the case.

LOL, I think its so funny when people say things like "No, marijuana does NOT kill brain cells" and then continue by saying "A lot of other things kill brain cells, such as..."

Cause it doesn't really help the argument at all, it just makes it sound like they are very very unsure and are trying to turn it around and turn the focus elsewhere.
Plus, with the last two links posted, I wouldn't trust those sites. They look crappy, andddd the links that Jeanna posted had information of tests done on PEOPLE, not monkeys.
I really am done.. again. Just thought I'd put that out there.

well i believe that weed doesnt kill brain cells and no im not clicking no dumbass link. I dont smoke, but to debate something like this is pointless because we might as say eating pizza will kill you because it will, WEED will kill you. I never said when but it will like every other unpure thing in this world. I prefer people that smoke weed over cigs anyday. They live longer. I think theres only 4 deaths related to weed. If this topic doesnt get closed im making do u eat a mcdonalds thread.
