I'm a outsider too, if you want to call it that. I never done weed but there is nothing wrong with my dad. We have a good relationship, he is always there for me, he is good to my mom, and works two jobs. He is a great dad. He also remembers everything in his past in detail. If you want to learn anything about the long term effects from weed, ask him because he has experience.

I respect science but all scientist do not agree on all scientific studies. I'm sure if you made a honest search you would find scientist who would disagree with you in part.

Plus if you meet my dad, you wouldn't have a clue that he ever smoked weed. He acts just as normal as all my friends dads. By the way! He hasn't smoked weed in ten years. He stop because he loves his family.

My dad was never a weak minded person to begin with. He never allows anything he ever tried to control him. Does your parents drink? Because it's my belief that alcohol kills more than just brain cells. It kills the liver, relationships, and endangers drivers on the highway. Now, whats worse, alcohol or weed?

Both my parents smoked pot when they were going up, for many years. But you would never guess it. Doesn't mean they didn't lose brain cells because of it. They are both really smart, and amazing. You just can't tell with them.

But with others you really can, there are quite a few people I know who have smoked pot, and I can realllyy really tell. It was almost like, I didn't even have to ask, they didn't have to tell me. I just knew.

Plus, I believe anyone who has studied that kind of thing over just one person who claims it doesn't, or even a few people who claim it doesn't.
They've done tests and proven it.

I don't think your parents lost their brain cells. How do you know that those people didn't do anything harder than weed along with it? They probably didn't do weed along. Let me see the test. I want to see it. These people may have study it but they can't tell what it's like better than a person who actually done it.

I don't think anyone claimed that harder drugs or alcohol destroyed less brain cells. The only claim that it does destroy brain cells.

Also, scientific studies are done for a reason -- to prove something. And even if you don't see anything different, that doesn't mean there wasn't a change internally. You're going to say that you think your father is the same (when he was still smoking weed), but do you know how the internal side of his body acted?

Drinking doesn't bother me near as much as smoking does. In fact, it's proven that having a glass of wine a day or every two days is healthy. I'm not saying I'd ever do it (you're still running risk for alcoholism, blood pressure problems, etc.), but it's not entirely bad either.

Irresponsible people do drive drunk, but it's not like everybody does. Just because you drink doesn't mean that you're going to get drunk and hit the road. Most people have a DD (designated driver).
