i HATE when someone says it is harmless.

i'm pretty sure people can and DO get in car accident that were stemmed from pot and the slow reaction time it gives you.

my pot loving friend even had the balls to say, "i mean, it's not like anyone dies from second hand smoke. 50,000 people a year? yeah right." i replied with, "my grandmother died of second hand smoke."

but to say that people generalize facts that come with drugs.

Nothing's harmless. A common argument, however, is why keep alcoholic beverages legal and not pot? Both can be beneficial to you, both can be detrimental. From my experience, high people drive slower and more paranoid, while drunk people drive faster and more reckless.

I doubt anyone's going to die from pot second hand smoke. If they're going to be around the pot smoking all the time, chances are they're going to smoke some too. Also, pot smoke isn't something you just run into on the streets, that gets you in jail if you smoke there. Pot smokers are around people who know they're smoking pot and choose to be there.

True but not all of them. My dad is a pot smoker who chooses to smoke his pot AT HOME. And no, my sister and I aren't pot smokers. My dad wouldn't want to ruin his reputation by being around fellow pot smokers. That's what he says.

I don't think pot should be made illegal, not at all. I just think that someone should invent a pot-smoker-screening machine who can tell if the smoker will be reasonable or not (pure dream). People abuse it thus giving it a bad image. I wouldn't want cigarettes or alcohol banned at all but with the excessive abuse, it seems like the right thing to do.

For my dad, it all started with cigarettes, then cigars, then pot, then cocain. I don't know what else he's taken.

Smoking weed is illegal in Belgium (I heard it on the radio, I haven't checked it up yet) and I think it should remain so until the government figures out a way to handle it.

A 16 year old kid (this made the headlines in my country) was banned at school for smuggling pot into classes, then decided to take his revenge on the principal by stabbing him. Either the governement finds a way in making pot legal under reasonable counts which I hope will reduce illegal pot related activities, either they keep it illegal and do whatever it is they're doing now (which isn't that bad).

Sounds like your dad's a loser and exception, though.

It's fine with me if you don't do it, but why preach about it?

I smoke weed, and I do it responsibly. I have a good job, and I it doesn't interfere with my work. I have never been in an accident because of it, I have never been to jail because of it, I have never even done something significantly stupid because of it.
It depends on who you are and how you do it.

Also, It can't be THAT bad for you if they prescribe it. I actually started smoking when I was younger and had KILLER headaches. It's always made them go away when nothing else could.
