i've only seen the movie, which i found to be really corny, but i'm assuming the book is a lot better.

No, but one story made me incredibly sad. I read "Flowers For Algernon" while I was sleeping at my cousin's house with my ex. I couldn't sleep so I stayed up in the morning time reading, and after I finished, all I wanted to do was talk about it with my ex. I did but her dumbass didn't care.
