I think if the contrast of the first one was better, and as intense as the 2nd, it would be awesome.
But since it isn't, I'd say b&w.

I'd say the color one if it was a tad brighter and sharper. But now I'll have to say black and white. Maybe some more added would look good, too.

Or poster image or something?

It looks ok (even if just cropped), but like others have said, add something. The color is a bit dull (on the first one).
