VIP Lounge, and the staff

So, do you guys think that the mods should have to act like staff in the VIP Lounge? Or should they be able to be themselves like others are in CBC?

I personally feel that having to put on my "staff member" mask in VIP Lounge would kill the atmosphere of that place (if there is any at all laugh.gif) I like being able to spam sometimes or be a bitch. We all have those moments, and I'm not going to advocate the idea of having only CBC, which is dead most of the times anyways, to "vent" as some staff would put it.

Therefore, since I have no moderator duties to uphold, I could share as much Backstage information as I wanted, correct?

I'm very glad you brought this up. That is definitely an exception to the createBlog/AIM rule.

Nah. It's a mod guideline and it applies to CBC as well.

So once you're not a mod anymore you're allowed to leak backstage information, right?

IMO you don't have to act like mods, but you still need to be respectable to the members... you are supposed to be a roll model for the community and talking sh*t about others in VIP lounge is just as bad as us talking about it backstage. If you have a problem with someone IM or PM them don't do it on the boards.

Now I'm not saying you can't tell someone to STFU or "bash" the in a joking manner with them, but when it gets serious it need to be taken elsewhere.

Seriously, that's definitely not a rule. CCP (Cut Copy Paste) it.

STFU. I'm serious, but I'm kidding.

No idea! ^_^

um, Spencer, chat is a completely different place from VIP Lounge. It's unmoderated, and you can be yourself, therefore, I think it wouldn't matter what you say, as long as you don't quote from Backstage (James told me that)

Only person I saw regularly under attack from "shit talking" is Rico, and he's an OM.

Well, if that were to happen, I suppose we'd all get in trouble by the people who believe that joke-bashing is harmful to a person's well being and existence.

I'm sure they'd find out about it one way or the other, if they were popular enough to be disliked to an extent that people in the VIP lounge made a thread to bash them. Chances are, though, if they're that unpopular they'll have probably do some dumb stuff and get warned and not have access to it anyways.

I don't think we can throw out there and say "Moderators are only supposed to act like Moderators everywhere that pertains to createblog and its people"

That's going to end up making people seem like their being condescended too. And I mean no one wants that. We should be able to act like our fun loving selves because thats what got us our positions in the first place right?

We be ourselves and we stick the very few rules that are here, if we don't go against them then we shouldn't have to hear shit about it, simple as that.

You guys are making things more confusing then what they need to be. This is a website forum, not an actual office/work place.
