Ok so I just read a few posts in mod perf concerning mods not being able to answer questions about the tracker.
I understand that Jusun is the one that made the thing, and only he would know how to answer certain questions because no one else on staff is... educated enough about the subject... but dont you guys think that come time the next hiring round, you could try and find people that have a better working knowledge of the IT aspect of the site, as well as how to use the forum application expertly? (proactively, because i understand that your perfect mod squad may or may not apply for modship) i mean even if they dont have a lot of posts, maybe you can give the person a "special" status for only IT related issues? |

I wouldn't mind Josh.
As long as he has no warning powers |

well i was saying they dont have to repair the issues, but at least should answer questions, in a way that's not like "it's not working, we have to wait for jusun, and honestly i dont care because i dont use the tracker anyway"
a more educated answer is what most people are usually looking for. |

Can I have moding powers in the technical forum? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO shit! You would have to, if that's what you're in charge for. LOL well i was saying they dont have to repair the issues, but at least should answer questions, in a way that's not like "it's not working, we have to wait for jusun, and honestly i dont care because i dont use the tracker anyway" a more educated answer is what most people are usually looking for. Agreed. And Josh can do that! (I think) |

Oh. I thought we were just looking for someone to answer questions for the time being. I think it'd be nice to have 2-3 people who know a lot about it and can answer questions, and one trained person (by Jusun) who knows how to work it, etc.

But you insinuate that you want to suck certain people's clits.

too far, tung.
Steve... i was REITERATING myself because it seemed like he thought i wanted these people to repair issues... which I specifically said I didn't want, because obviously Jusun wouldnt want people messing with his code unless he really trusted them. |

QUOTE this person doesnt need to actually fix these problems, but at least have a working knowledge of everything in order to answer simple questions. QUOTE I do know how to program in Java/VB Script/Active Directory/SQL/VisualBasic.Net, but that doesn't not mean I want to volunteer hours of my time to so. Especially if I can't even put it on my resume. QUOTE well i was saying they dont have to repair the issues, but at least should answer questions, in a way that's not like "it's not working, we have to wait for jusun, and honestly i dont care because i dont use the tracker anyway" a more educated answer is what most people are usually looking for. so i was um... agreeing with him. i dunno what your problem is, steve. maybe this confused you? QUOTE in a way that's not like "it's not working, we have to wait for jusun, and honestly i dont care because i dont use the tracker anyway" but i was giving an example of what the average staff member usually says. |

Yea currently all we need is someone that can answer the questions and actually can form some knowledge of the tracker.

yes. thank you. maybe now that that's cleared up, steven can move on to actually giving some useful input on the subject, rather than constantly try to decipher whatever i say as if it's some cryptic or passive agressive statement.

The way you worded it gave the appearance as if you were making a retort towards the general responses because we'd been missing your point.
If you interpreted my responses as if I were trying to decipher what you say, you're mistaken. Also, I do believe I've given input. L2read imo. |

Well, we pretty much need to wait to hear Suzzette's and Mona's input on this. (And the rest of Head Staff)
But I'm pretty sure Josh is the best choice. I can't think of a single other person who is active who would do a better job. |
