This isn't about measuring intelligence, it's about trying to discern between who is going to be able to take themselves and others seriously within the context of meaningful debate and who isn't. This is about screening people in order to weed out those who don't actually care. It's about getting rid of the jokers, the contentious antagonizers, and the ill intended. If you show only a minimal competence in debate, but at the same time demonstrate a respect, admiration, and interest in appropriate and meaningful argumentation, then you most certainly belong.

The point is to get rid of people who only come here to find "easy targets." People who come here with the intent of replying to a post merely because they "enjoy pissing people off." Those people are clowns. They reduce the quality of debate and just don't belong here.

Oh, I was confused because I'm sure many people feel you do so much of just that. What makes you think that people don't take your "f**k you", "you're stupid", "you're ignorant", and "I'm superior" posts out of context? Do you feel that those posts contribute to the debate? Don't waste your time Nate, you're not going to find the kind of debate you're looking for on a website where the majority of it's members are between the ages of 13-17 years old. Get a grip, and face reality.

Honestly Nate, what satisfaction do you get from defeating what seems to be mostly weak minded people in a debate. If you're so good, why not move from this place. People like you, me, or anyone without a weak mind for that matter can't be tested in a place like this. I really don't enjoy feeling the majority rule in a debate here on cB, because the victory is so minuscule. It's worthless, pointless even.

The membership here can change. But, this place will probably have to change first. I've actually seen some very intelligent and capable people come through these debate forums. Can you figure out why they left? I would like to see those sorts of people stay, and with that, attract a more serious and interesting membership.

Oh, don't inflate my participation in your bombastic games any more than it is. Not to mention, this has so little to do with the argument at hand. If I'm found to be just as bad as yourself in the debate thread, then, given the implementation of exclusivity, I would hope to be removed. This place has to change if expectations are going to. Duh.

The it's settled, in this case both of us would be removed from the forms. If this topic hadn't been a year ago I would have asked you why you made it in the first place. You need to sit down and read my posts instead of just attacking them. You're more annoying than Nate. Hell, I don't even find Nate annoying. Occasionally he bring up a good point, but it seems that most of the things you say just tear other people down. You don't even go out of your way to make it seem like a joke. You just mercilessly try and make people feel like idiots.
