How about if I told you that I've been bisexual since 'forever'. Meaning, I've been into girls since I was VERY little. And no, I'm not making this up. Whatchu say about that?

Well my god I would hope he wouldn't have to make such a choice at 3 years old.
Honestly to the point and well commenting about others. I can say now I don't even remember when I was 3..and since obviously most people didn't even know they were supposed to be in to one sex or the other then obviously I have to say that its a choice later in life that people are up to make on their own and their decision will end of reflecting off their experiences in life. |

Are you saying that their "decision" is determined by their past experiences? Doesn't sound like much a choice to me. |

*baby comes out of vagina in doctors hands* Oh here you go you have a new gay baby boy, congratulations. Your turning more and more every day Holly.I disagree. I think homos are born homos, and can also turn homos by influence from flamboyant homos. Jumping up and down, throwing glitter homos. Using too much gel and making noises homos. Those are the homos you need to worry about. As for the Indians, they most certainly are gay. But they're dead, well most of them anyways. Go drink some more! You're unique in the fact that you're body doesn't metabolize alcohol the way normal people do, so you stay drunk for longer you goddamn red homos. How did the great white man not know right away the red man were homos? They were jumping up and down by the fire, shooting arrows and masturbating on everyone and everything. Definitely signs of the homos. |

Do you remember choosing to learn to communicate? Communication is necessary to survive in society. Heterosexuality is not. Note that I'm talking about on an individual basis, not that if everyone stopped having sex and reproducing, the species would still survive. |

I didn't say I was 3. ![]() Maybe I'm a witch afterall. ![]() Ok, and do you think that sexual acts at the age of 9-10 are normal? I personally don't. You lead an abnormal life, but I don't look down on you for it. Keep your head up, and keep swimming. you were young, and made subconscious decisions based upon the life that you were given and the choices you had to make. As a 9-10 year old, you aren't intelligent enough to make complicated decisions. Are you saying that their "decision" is determined by their past experiences? Doesn't sound like much a choice to me. Communication is necessary to survive in society. Heterosexuality is not. Note that I'm talking about on an individual basis, not that if everyone stopped having sex and reproducing, the species would still survive. Decisions are decisions whether they're subconscious or conscious and necessary or unnecessary. There are decisions you make every day that are subconscious. The way you communicate, the things you enjoy, they way you react to events in the relationships you have... You consistently make a subconscious decisions in all of these areas, and the decisions you make in these areas are based upon the setting you grew up in and the things that you held onto throughout that life. Do you remember making the choice to like the things you like, love, and the enjoy the things you like, love, and enjoy in life itself? For example, I really enjoy playing video games. Not everyone enjoys video games, but I highly doubt they would consciously choose not to enjoy something so prevalent in society today (You can't turn a corner without hearing about the release of Halo3). I didn't get up one day and say, "I really like video games! I think I'll play them!" No, the kids at school enjoyed video games, and I thought they were cool. I started playing them, I was encouraged to play them, I became better and better, and with each step of increased video gaming skill I was encouraged more and more. People can come up with reasons for my love of video games, but did I really make a conscious choice to enjoy them? Not at all, I enjoyed them because the environment I grew up in taught me to enjoy them. In the same way, I was raised in an environment that encouraged me to like women. Ok, now before you say, "Josh, you are so ignorant. How the hell are gay people encouraged to be gay?! Choosing to be a homosexual is absolutely insane. Why would you want to lead a life of constant persecution?!", I'll answer your question: The truth is, people do irrational and illogical things all the time. We are ALL different people. No two are alike and we choose our paths based upon what makes sense to us even though it may not make any sense at all. For example: -there are many cases where people who were raped end up consistantly craving sexual attention even though they were physically abused. So, are any of those decisions logical? No, they aren't logical at all. The person who was raped will just degrade him/herself, codependent will loose more and more self-worth, and the depressed person will probably loose everything... do you think that these people are doing these things because they want to do them? I highly doubt it. Each and every one of them has the ability to physically stop at any point in time, but they probably won't because their characters are firmly planted in their bodies by the life that they've lead and the choices that they've made conscious or subconscious. The way you interpret the influences in your life that guide your character in this world will determine who you are. Are you trying to make an ethical argument now? I'm curious, what makes being a homosexual "bad?" He is very serious. Don't mess with him. |

Communication is necessary to survive in society. Heterosexuality is not. Note that I'm talking about on an individual basis, not that if everyone stopped having sex and reproducing, the species would still survive. I'm just using it as an analogy. I'm not saying it's the same thing. The point I was trying to get across is that quite often you don't choose to do something, it just comes to you naturally. Until someone (a scientist) can prove to me that you choose or have a gene that chooses for you, I'm going to believe that it just happens from a combination of nature and nurture. |

Well, I was in a rush for time and figured that the analogy could at least get the point across. What I was trying to say, since people I guess don't get it, is that you don't just "choose" to do many things you do on a regular basis.

Are you trying to make an ethical argument now? I'm curious, what makes being a homosexual "bad?" Being a homosexual is bad. Bad Nate. So stop it. No...what did I say? Don't make me get the newspaper. I will...no. Stop it. It's bad enough having shit stains on the back of your drawers, you really want them on the front too? |

I mean, I always saw people kissing or touching (in movies). My neighbour and I were very curious and wanted to know what it felt like, kissing / touching. Secretly, I thought she was very pretty and I liked her. I absolutely do not recall making a choice or anything of the sort. My sister who was brought up in the same environnement (I spelt it the French way, too lazy to dictionary the word) is straight. You, Josh, are straight not because you chose to be, just because you are. Although I do believe that there are people who choose to live an homosexual life based on past experience or curiosity or whatever. |

You, Josh, are straight not because you chose to be, just because you are. Although I do believe that there are people who choose to live an homosexual life based on past experience or curiosity or whatever. Look, I'm not saying you make a conscious choice. You yourself said, "I always saw people kissing and touching (in movies)." The media influenced you to become bisexual. I'm not saying you made a wrong choice. I'm just saying that, whether you meant to interpret it that way or not, you did make a choice to pursue that curiousity. You could have interpreted it a different way, but in the end you wanted to do something, did it, and it effected you. I'm not looking down on you for it. I'm just saying you weren't BORN that way. Nothing more nothing less. Also, you and your sister, although born into the same environment, are totally different people who lead totally different lives, have totally different experiences, and interpret those experiences in totally different ways. You aren't the same person. Yes, you're parents are a huge influence in you life, but you're parents can only influence you. They can't force you to believe or think a certain way. You choose to interpret life around you in much the same way you interpret this post. You could take my post entirely out of context if you wanted to. Who knows, you could be doing that right now... STOP... Only I know the true context for which this post was written, the right way to interpret this post. Trouble with life is, there is "right way" to interpret it. You can't ask life the true context for which it was meant to be understood therefore you are left to interpret it for yourself. This is where you make the choice. Conscious or not, you make the choice to interpret life the way you want to. |

Granted but you failed to understand one point. Before I even kissed my neighbour or did anything of the sort, I already thought of her as very pretty. I watched her from my window whenever she came home or went out. The only area the media influenced me was the kissing part. Seeing couples (men & women) kissing made me want to try it out with a partner (male or female but it happened to be female).
I already liked her wayyy before the media kicked it's bullshit into my head. EDIT// I'm not taking you out of context. It's a debate =p |

I just can't debate that. If it is as you say it is you may or may not have been born that way. I honestly don't think you were, but I can't debate that you weren't. I could say something to the effect of, QUOTE There are plenty of factors in your life that could have lead homosexual ideas and thoughts to "click" inside within your brain. Brains are complex. Sometimes you think or feel things that seem like they don't make any sense. In the end, it's the way you interpreted life around you. but I think it's just a waste of time. If you believe that you were born that way then I can't change your mind. I believe you weren't. There are supporting arguments for both sides, but there is no proof on either side of the argument. The main reason I choose to believe that they weren't born that way is because I feel like many homosexuals are just going to use the "I was born this way!" as a big fat crutch. At least you're not as ignorant as some of the rest of the members on this site. |

I think it's fair to say that it's f**king both. Stop being a gay, both of you.
There are definitely people who are born a gay. I've grown up around people who later came out, and you could tell even as kids that there's something different about them. We went to the same school, knew all the same people, did a lot of the same things, yet now he's a gay and Im not. It's like what Chris Rock says, "He didn't turn gay, he was gay then. You was playing ball, he was jumpin' rope." And of course, there are people who later turn into gay, either by being "influenced"(NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) or just not feeling satisfied with how things are going and want to experiment (Anne Heche anyone. OHH!!!! Can I get an AMEN!). And these are usually the people you hear about turning back. Now the whole effeminate voice thing is definitely a factor. You dont exactly choose your voice, it just develops into the final product. You can change the pitch of your voice to your liking, I do it everyday. But your voice, if it's in the G-Pitch(Gay Pitch), it's more than likely you are a gay. If you ask a buddy what his favorite Madonna album is, and he answers anything other than "I don't listen to Madonna," You've got a gay. Just some things for you to remember folks. Besides, we're all people. If it makes them happy to love eachother, by golly let them love eachother. Besides, Gay has been around for-f**king-ever. If it bothered God that much, he'd have gassed them all by now. Let the Gays do what they want, who cares anymore. But if everyone can support my Ban On Blacks(B.O.B.), Id greatly appreciate it. Thanks again. |

Quite frankly it pisses me right the fuck off that you steal my Gay. Now go get stomped on by a big daddy, would you kindly? |
