Different groups have pondered what exactly the cause for the degradation of the African American people in the past 3 decades was. Many people believe that no significant event has occured, that the Afro-American people have simply fulfilled what many always believed them to be. This however is not the case.
In the early 1970's, the African American people enjoyed a Golden Age of equality. Though in certain areas rascism was still prevalent, the views of the common White person suddenly took a collective turn towards equal race relations, mainly due to the "acid culture" hippie phenomenon spearheaded by Doctors Richard Alpert and Timothy Leary. These men taught enlightenment through hallucinagenic drugs, the result of which drastically changed the views of those who took part. Instead of focusing on what color a man was, they focused on what social class the man was. The police, who protected and enforced the laws of their fathers, were now seen as the enemy. The conservative working class male now seen as a "square." Thus it seems that history has repeated itself. Now it is the African male teaching equality to the white adolescent through narcotics. The 1970's brought distinction to the Black people in other ways. Terms like "motown' and musical groups like The Temptaions and The Spinners became heard in the common household. White teenage girls became curious to the exotic. Mixed race relations were seen in public. Something had to be done. The public eye was focused on the 1972 election between the incumbent Richard M. Nixon and George S. McGovern, the hot debate being the Vietnam War. At this time President Nixon had not yet been involved in the Watergate scandal. The election turnout resulted in a landslide victory in favor of Richard Nixon. It was at this time that he was visited by the senior members of the NAANA(National Association Against Negro Advancement) whose names have been kept off public record. A plan of action had to be made in order to halt the stream of pro-african opinion in society and the media as a whole. The leaders of the Ku Klux Clan were called in as an unofficial advisory board, this particular group consisting of the highest members of the KKK hierarchy. The Ku Klux Clan have held a reputation of being a group of rascist, ignorant, unorganized "rednecks" with closed minds and simple views since their first outset in 1866. This cannot be farther from the truth. They have in fact been monumental in the ratification of numerous laws against the advancement of the African race in America. Their message of animosity and intimidation towards the African race has lasted more than a century and has effectively delayed their growth. Siding along with the NAANA, they have successfully contributed to the gradual decline of the African American race. These two groups, along with the support of the white house, are referred to as the "Council." Though the idea of "The Man" may appear as simple Black paranoia, it is actually quite close to the truth. The plan for the deconstruction of the African culture has been in effect since the early 1980's. Through media manipulation and planned cultural events, the council's plan has found fruition. The hip-hop revolution being their most successful campaign, past efforts have included the sudden fame of singer James Brown, comedians Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, and television superstar Oprah Winfrey, all of which have someway or another contributed to the decline of the African American society. One side-effect that was not conceivable to the original council was the white lower middle class' fascination with the African hip-hop culture. The early 1990's brought fame to several Gangster rappers spreading the feeling of hate for authority and encouraging drug use among their people. This was all according to the counsel's plan. Unfortunately these ideas aroused curiosity in the adolescent white middle-class male as well. So for the past twenty years there has been an accidental backlash of white decline as well as the planned decline of African Americans. The current counsel, now headed by tv personality Jay Leno, are feverish in their plans to recover whatever can be salvaged from this current white societal decline. |

You're wrong Jeremy! Common owns =] I'll admit, I have never heard a song by Common so I can't say one thing about him either way. I just didn't like him in Smoking Aces. But I agree, let's get back to the topic at hand. Is there anyone out there who actually believes there a government groups whose sole purpose is just to halt African American advancement? |

This topic is inappropriately named. "African" applies to people on the continent, not Black people in America.

wow I have to say this was a fascinating forum... I believe that people whether they agree or not are somewhat different on the forums so dont deny it, the racist commentary is unfortunate but I see what the thread starter was trying to do... I have to say I believe that people are very sensitive about race too a point that is overboard...

I have to say I believe that people are very sensitive about race too a point that is overboard... Mike, you're my new best friend. haha. I very much appreciate your kind words. I honestly hope nobody took what I said seriously. I wrote in the documentary/essay form on purpose. I wanted it to seem as realistic as possible. Yes, this was only for CB, I would never dream of using this for anything else. It just wouldnt have the same effect. I don't mind the remarks saying that I'm a racist, but I'd appreciate that you actually back it up. Not one word of what I typed was actually rascist, not one word was written in my point of view. The ones who thought it was racist were the oversensitive types who overreact to anything remotely dealing with race. I honestly think it's because I talked badly about Oprah. I don't like oprah at all. I don't like oprah, I despise Jay Leno with a passion. Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, James Brown the Godfather of Soul, I love those guys. I just thought it sounded funny. Whatever, if you honestly had a problem with it, that's your own buisness. I'm sorry you can't distinguish between actual swastika, burn a cross on your front lawn racism from joking about black paranoia. P.S. to KC: Dude, if you really have to put these damn "lines" down, if you just can't scratch that itch, then go to the writers forum. Leave my post alone, I don't want it littered. It's bad enough some bitch thought it okay to post half the front page with some stupid comic strip. |

I agree, blacks are ridiculous. Its like, "Shit, we brought you to this country for free, at least say thank you." But no, they're all just looking for a handout.
