How was the interviewing process not taken seriously, Rico?

^ go read what i was asking. in there. people were like " it's not that serious" i was requesting real phone interviews. just find it odd that this is taken so seriously when the interviews are not.

You were asking for an oral interview! Dude, it isn't THAT serious. This is an online community not a full time paying job!

look all i am saying is people need to stop taking it personally. period. If Your Not Hired. So what! I only requested vent/phone interviews because i thought this position was taken seriously. when i was told it was not, well... i kind of was surprised that you guys would go threw the lengths of trying to find out why you were not hired.

I don't think its the fact that its being taken more seriously but rather that phone/skype (whatever) interviews don't work out as well as written ones. I think this was already stated but if someone does an interview with you that way, they will not catch everything you say. It may not seem relevant to you right now, but some things you say can be an important aspect and they might miss it. Yet if you type it out, that way no one will miss a thing and everyone that reads the interview can get a similiar idea of you as a person. Rather that the one person in the interview thinks you're extremely qualified and everyone else is like... "uh what? he didn't say anything spectacular".


Reaons are not as important as the interviews. Its just the process of posting one is a lot easier than going through a phone/skype interview. There are not as many cons to posting reasons as their would be with a phone/skype interview. (No mistakes, different perspectives, etc)

True as this may be i have already got over that fact so I am not going to debate about it. Personally i said I will wait for my interview... after i found out that it was being conducted that way. just surprised these guys are taking the "if they get rejected" so seriously to the point where they want it to go public. especially when they probably already know the reason weather it be a mod not liking them to just not getting hired because they did not qualify.

Rico, why did you apply if you are not qualified?

My requirements were diminished by the bad judgment of a Mod named Mona giving my account to a fake aim name.. and handing me a year long ban due to two candidates who were screwing around on it that are currently running who have since then tried to be cool with me. before being banned I was 5.2PPD and an official member. Figured I would give it a shot since everyone knows the truth now.

I truely don't care if i get hired or not. I did it for myself and my reasons alone to see if i could be. i even said in my application " i know i am not a prime candidate"

While all of this ... "stuff" going on now with the modding process and all, i've been seeing people saying that people are going to get hired due to friendships between that applicant and the current moderators.

who exactly are you all worried about getting hired based only on that thesis?

to be completely honest, i feel that you and steph will get hired just because you used to be on staff. as much as i hate to say it, it seems fit. but they're also nice, so they're really isn't a doubt either.

Because they used to be on staff, but also because they're nice and would make good mods No reason for them not to be hired.

yeah, we've moved on from that, though. really, it was just a joke. we said that because of our track record. we've been talked to and now understand that maybe it could be a possibilty.
