Just curious: Does anyone have one true best friend? Or do you have many close friends? Throughout my senior year, I've seen that I only really had one true blue friend who was always there for me; despite whatever happened. How about you guys??

The first one and I parted ways naturally, like, she was my true best friend, but things change.

The second one will be there for me no matter what, even if he is a big idiot. :)

I've got three really awesome best friends. Victor (ex boyfriend), Christine (My Asian Twin), and Sam (another ex boyfriend but one that I was friends with since I was a baby and so yeah...)

What i consider to be a best friend is someone i can trust forever. Someone who won't ditch me for other friends. Someone who can listen. Someone who believes in me. Someone who is who they truly are, in front of me. I've seen all that but it has all died down. There's been more than one person that I've seen this happen in, and therefore i never label anyone my 'best friend' anymore. Until I've seen all that, and I know it's going to stay, then maybe I will call them my best friend.

I used to have a best friend back in elementary/middle school, then i moved down to another school, but now we go to the same college...we arent as similar as we used to be but we still chill

Agree with you both. I seem to have many close friends.. but not exactly anyone I would spill my heart out to, and they do likewise.

I do, but now he's my boyfriend; does that still count? We were really, really good friends for about three years before we started dating. But other than that, no. I thought I had one for a bit, but that was a big letdown.

I have three incredably awesome best friends who are all completely different.

Lauren, 13 years old, 8th grade. I have known since she was one. She is very outspoken and very intellegent.

Taylor, 13 years old, 9th grade. I have known since first grade. She is very funny to those who she knows, and shy to those she doesent, she can keep the deepest secrets.

Stephanie, 15 years old, 10th grade. We have known eachother since we were born. (Her mom and my mom are also best friends) We drift off away from eachother sometimes but maybe thats because we both go to different schools. Shes very goofy and also, a good secret keeper and grudge holder lol.

No. I've never allowed myself to become too close to someone to consider him/her a 'best friend'. For a short time, I considered my sister but not anymore.

I used to have one when I was younger, but came to the realization that I'm just going to have a lot of close friends, some closer than others, but none best. Actually, I would say that Michelle is my best friend.

I have 3 best friends. Michael, Dan, & Sam. Mike & Dan are best friends & then there's Sam and I. Mike and I go out - Dan and Sam go out. Dan has been locked up for the last 5 months and Mike went to rehab two months ago. So I have Sam & Dan to talk to - Sami knows what I am going through too. They've all been there for me through everything. They're my best friends.

Well, I used to think that I wouldn't have a best friend because I had many close friends, too. I find it a great success to find one TRUE best friend in life.

i'm sort of unsure. like sometimes i feel like she is my best friend since we're so close when we actually DO talk and hang out, but sometimes we dont talk for days so that kind of ... you know, defeats the purpose. but then again, we do go to diff. schools and we are different ages, and she has her own friends. unsure unsure. i've been friends with her since i was about a toddler though.
