It's also important to know that you shouldn't stay in the house any longer than you must - not even to call 911. Someone else can make that call from outside. Once you're out, do not go back in for anything - even pets. I was reading over some fire drill guidelines earlier (don't ask) but as soon as I got up to that part, I wondered if I would ever be able to leave my dog behind. ![]() For all you pet owners out there, do you think you would be able to part with them during a fire? I'd probably just take my dog and run. |
