I don't see a red link anywhere....am I blind or crazy...please help!!!

is it because the CB tracker is doing all this now that it will no longer work on myspace?
If it is then it's not worth it.
I also think it's wrong, being able to see other sites somebody went to like that, it's a total invasion of privacy.

Nothing work for Livejournal. No v2 and no v1... The same situation for my existing account and for the new created account... Also I can't get any new tracker, because the Tracker Code page is just blank...

Im starting to get really annoyed here with the new tracker not working and everyone writing the same posts over and over again. Micron, I'm not angry at you, i understand you're trying to do something better for all of us, BUT...PLEASE update on where the tracker stands!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously the first post you have in this thread no longer stands true (about the red link at top of page). SO PLEASE UPDATE US SO WE DON'T THINK WE'RE THE ONLY ONES GOING CRAZY WITH THIS!!!!

I'm annoyed right with ya. This is just rude now and it looks like most folk have given up. If we can't have the v1 tracker back and functioning like it used to then it's a no brainer. If it's not broke, why break it?

I've never found an IP address location to be that accurate though. Mine puts me in the right city, but about 15 - 20 miles away from my actual location. So I don't believe having someone's IP address is a threat in that sense.

Great tracker v2! Now, I’m able to identify my friend's ip address with an id username. Can you add this feature that tells you how many times this person visited and list all the dates of visits. This way, I’m able to see how often this "person" goes to my site. Thanks, man !

AMEN! This is very frustrating... and even more so b/c the fix seems like it is being ignored or at least updating everyone on how the fix is going is...

I agree it is frustrating. I deleted my old tracker when the new version came out. I use MixMap now, but I liked v1 better. I know it is free and the developers are working on it, but it has been a long time. Perhaps they should revert back to v1 until they finish the new one. I'll probably stay with MixMap.

Have patience, it is around the holidays (well in the US anyway)..hopefully we'll get an update soon.

hope everyone had a wonderful 4th! im looking into this problem now, sorry for the delay. from what i gather so far - everything is working except for the new tracker code (which i purposefully disabled so that people wont overwrite their existing tracker code with the new one) and the new sign ups (obviously because the new tracker code doesnt work). if you were previously tracking a myspace which stopped tracking since v2, there should be a big red panel on top of the tracker page (above the daily graphs) with a link to click on. click on that link and your tracker should be in workign order again. since many of you seem to be confusing this, here is a little screenshot:



i'm going to go through this topic today and see if there are problems i didn't forsee. ill keep up guys updated. hopefully by the end of this week everything will be sorted out.

Woo hoo! the tracker seems to be working! I still don't have the red link above the graph, but I also didn't delete the tracker code from before (thank goodness ) which may be why I don't/didn't have it (the red text link)... I'm still partial to the v1 tracker but maybe the v2 will grow on me eventually... Thanks, Micron!

I've been clicking on that link everyday since version 2 came along and I get this error message every single time.

a couple of things that you guys should know,

-the old tracker code works so you dont need to update your tracker code.

-i disabled the new anti-hijacking feature for the time being. for many people the myspace tracker isnt working because of this new feature. when you click on the 'restart tracker' link, what it actually does is check on your site and saves some data to validate every incoming hit to make sure the hit is coming from your site. the anti-hijacking feature works and will be an optional feature, instead of being on by default as it was previously.

-soem of you guys are tracking the wrong url. ie, for myspace users, the only format accepted is myspace.com/createblogcom, not your friendID. if you ahve something else like your friendID, you wont be able to use the anti-hijacking feature. but the tracker shoudl work without it. im going to update the tracker pages to clarify this.

I don't have the RESTART URL above my tracker, and it won't let me edit my tracker settings at all. It hasn't logged any visits since June 28, on either of my pages. I loooove this tracker and wish so badly that it would work!! Am I missing something?

1. I don't have the restart tracker option
2. I can't add a tracker, or edit the URL of one

-the reason why you get a blank page for the tracker code is because the new tracker code is buggy. ill get to this tomorrow.

-im still confused why some of you are getting hits from 0.0.0.0. the thing is, ips are logged directly to the db without being processed. if anyone whos getting excessive 0.0.0.0's post a link to their tracker page (must be set public so that i can check it) that would be great.

looks like you deleted your tracker code. ill have a working code by tomorrow, after which i will re-enable signups + accessing the tracker code page.

Hi... I've been using CBStats to track the visitors to my blog for over a year. I like this service over many others because; there is no reporting delay, the last 10 visitors are listed in a easy to read chart, and I can follow how many times an ip has hit my site.

I'm kind of disappointment with the new tracker, and it goes into more detail on the visitors. (It take a bit to filter through the stats to summarize the same content that the original tracker gave me).

Is there a way to revert an account back to the old stat tracker? Or is there a summary setting in the new tracker that will produce a similar report?
