Well sorry...

the site does work now.. but doesnt register visits from links off of others myspaces lets say I go to Lisa's myspace and click on my myspace icon off of his page... it doesn't register that as a visit to my page. But it will work off of Cinderellas or if I type in my myspace url directly. For some reason it won't work off of Lisa's. It is weird.

Why don’t you just get away from this forum? You are not helping anybody with your stupid tips, like that lousy hitslink.com or whatever tracker that people can see from miles in the heroes-section of yours. I hope the moderators BAN you from this forum for your dirty mouth!!!!

Thank you Jolene. This tracker indeed has the option (4a) to choose for an invisible code!! And it tracks IPs also: Great. I will use this one also and hope for the better concerning v2… Because one thing really bothers me with this MixMap tracker: those irritating advertisements EVERYWERE. But hey, its good for now, so many thanks for the good tip, Jolene!!! biggrin.gif

why aren't the moderators saying anything? i'm glad they are working on this.. i wish they could say something, though.

mellow.gif

mixmap works but only catches about 8 in 10 hits.

also, with the way myspace is constantly filtering, continuing to edit a profile is becoming problematic.. every time you update, it goes through the latest filter, which can really screw up your profile (and make your counters non-functional).

i wish createblog could work for friendster. does it? does anyone know how to do that? (if createblog worked, that is...)

With the histat one, I've only been keeping track of one page (I have no clue what some of the other stats are about) - when you're viewing your stats, click on "Visitors" at the top, then "last 1000", then "Summary". That Summary page gives the basic info I'm interested in - IPs,time of visit (for some), number of visitors, page views, etc.

Before someone accuses me of 'plugging my site', I'm just trying to help out by explaining something that happens to works for me, OK?

Yes, thanks Jolene. The tracker works pretty well so far but as JVDW said, the ads are bombarding! But it'll do for now... I just hope the creators will give an option for the old version 1 in addition to having the version 2... Am I one of the few in wanting this...?

I'm going to agree with a comment above.. can someone who is working on the tracker, or knows what's going on, at least give an estimate of when it will be working again? If it's going to be awhile, can V1 come back, or is there something with myspace which won't allow the code anymore?

I'm confuuuzed blink.gif

No, actually you are not…:

QUOTE(JVDW @ Jul 1 2007, 12:18 PM) *
Everything worked just fine with v1. Yesterday came v2, but it didn’t seem an improvement to me, as it was less clear in over viewing it as a whole quickly. The top ten links at the bottom didn’t make any sense (were these links actually the stats from us, createblog-trackers??? – why would I need to know that, I have to ask? Then I read about this red link on top of the page, but there was NONE, there were only links below the graph. The graph which for some reason now figures prominently, but I liked seeing the detailed stats first… But some time later I could even open my stats with this v2 anymore at all! And now all I get is a blank page when trying to visit my old stats. I cant update the code, nothing. It seems like a miracle to me that I can post these messages on this forumn, because I can NOT log in when I am at the http://www.createblog.com/tracker/ - link: I am immediately logged off again and back at http://www.createblog.com/tracker/.... It just has gotten worse, not better. So yes, deadgodgirl, I worry probably just as much as you. We are all kind of dependent. At least I am: I would know how to do it myself, but I have tried many other trackers but they really are blocked from myspace. But it has no use to hasten those people that are now trying to fix it. I am sure they are doing all they can and I truly hope they can bring al those who need it a perfect tracker. But if you would have asked me, I would say the v1 was perfect. I just wished they had made it optional to choose. That way you would also be able to choose the moment yourself to do the upgrade to the 2nd version. One of my personal reason for why I am so actively tracking the progress of the this tracker right now, is that I actually need it RIGHT NOW and not like next week or so. But I am sure many of you do.

So therefore I was glad to read:

QUOTE(Jolene1 @ Jul 2 2007, 09:22 AM) *
I have used Mixmap for a long time. It works well and has a hidden code.

So I replied:

QUOTE(JVDW @ Jul 2 2007, 10:09 AM) *

But I already noticed that alienationeffect was quite right in:

QUOTE(alienationeffect @ Jul 2 2007, 10:12 AM) *
mixmap works but only catches about 8 in 10 hits.

So YES, met too am really anxious for the v2, but I would very much have liked the v1 in the meanwhile…

I noticed there are still a lot of bugs in v2:

QUOTE(JVDW @ Jul 1 2007, 01:59 PM) *
[*]I still keep getting a blank page when I hit the link "Tracker code"... (http://www.createblog.com/tracker/code)
[*]formerly identified IP from the past month done by v1, are now, using the v2 upgrade, labelled "Anonymous", and the IP which used to be number are now just zeros (0.0.0.0)
[*]there is no longer an option to view the stats of just one month, now I have to scroll down the history, which is impractical.

Thus I asked:

QUOTE(JVDW @ Jul 1 2007, 01:59 PM) *
Anybody knows inside-details on what actually is going on??? _unsure.gif

I also just send an email to the administrator, so hopefully he knows of more details...

But there doesn’t seem to be a moderator anywhere around…

I miss CreateBlog v1!!!!!!!! omg.gif help.gif

Hey guys, I'm really sorry for not getting around to give you guys answers. But at the moment, I can only say you check for the updated thread: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...176888&st=0

Jusun said he was fixing the Tracker v2 up so, please be patient guys. As JVDW said before, these trackers aren't meant to be used for myspace.

QUOTE(falsetigerlimbs @ Jun 14 2007, 10:22 PM) *
Trackers that really work (i.e. identify people CORRECTLY) are against myspace TOS. Only IP trackers are safe, and that's what this tracker is.

Micron's going to add a feature to this one that lets you identify people though, I think.

I see we all have the exact same problem goin on, very weird, starting to wonder if it might be a myspace issue with the new tracker, reason I say this is a friend with a different tracker that worked well and then poof! all her coding was just completely gone off her page, hmmm...I smell a conspiracy

It probably is an issue with myspace. Using certain trackers go agaisnt myspace terms of service. Which is probably what causes the coding to go berserk.

Hello -

First off, I am really sorry that there are so many bugs with this update. I can assure you that micron is working as quickly as possible to fix these issues. Unforunately, "moderator"s are not able to fix this, only mircon, the tracker's author.

Meanwhile, I'm merging this with the existing tracker thread.

Edit - I am merging the tracker Feedback threads with this initial thread. So if you cannot find your thread and/or response(s), please look here.

Thank you very much for you patience.

I wouldn't like people seeing my IP either. I would make your tracker "private."

Pfjew, I am just very relieved to hear some official info and to know that there is still being worked on!!! dance.gif yahoo.gif So thank you Moderator and Superstitious for these updates!

And my apology for my impatience, but this is because I miss the CreateBlog tracker - it just is the best on around! showoff.gif But I hope you can bring about an even better v2, Mircon!!! Succes!

I'm glad too, to hear something official. So am I getting it right that because we can identify people with the new version it won't work on myspace?
I'd rather just the IPs, you figure out your regular visitors eventually. Will we have that option? to stay with V1?

That's a good question... I'd like to know that too... Will we have the option to just use the IPs for MySpace??? And will there be an option to use v1 instead v2 out of preference??????? (I hope so _unsure.gif)

Yeah! Is it right that because we can identify people with the new version it won't work on myspace?

Who needs to identify people anyway?? It is not like you have more to go on with a profilename, then an ip-address…

So I have to ask, why is Micron going to add this seemingly useless feature, as this will result in myspace blocking the code??? And why not make a v2 for xanga or whatever. To my knowledge this was the only really working tracker for myspace…

Maybe it is not a bad idea to contact Micron, so he doesn’t again have to say:

QUOTE(micron @ May 21 2007, 03:03 PM) *
I completely overlooked making the entire site inaccessible would affect your myspaces / xangas / blogs. Someone had to call me to tell me that (thanks Christian!
