I am really sorry for being that impatient: I had not seen that they were still working on it. But I did read a previous post of someone claiming his counter actually worked which me confused, but I now realize this is just impossible. Nobody can use his tracker right now I believe, JanuaryB449.

I am being patient now, nut I still hardly can wait to use the tracker again, be it v1 or v2…

My tracker didnt work after i updated the tracker code... but fortunately I saved my old code before i deleted it. I put in my old code and the tracker started working fine.... and tracked all day until last night...(June 30th 9:42pm). Now it doesnt work again.. I havent changed anything... why?

I'm kinda worried that this thing isn't going to sort itself out, but that doesn't make any sense, because up until a few days ago it was working perfectly and tracking myspace like a dream. I don't understand why we can't have now what we had a few days previous. Some of the posts here sound like they're saying we can't track myspace again even if a code does appear that's the most worrying part.

@ deadgodgirl: but I cant help adding that I share your worried feelings… Everything worked just fine with v1. Yesterday came v2, but it didn’t seem an improvement to me, as it was less clear in over viewing it as a whole quickly. The top ten links at the bottom didn’t make any sense (were these links actually the stats from us, createblog-trackers??? – why would I need to know that, I have to ask? Then I read about this red link on top of the page, but there was NONE, there were only links below the graph. The graph which for some reason now figures prominently, but I liked seeing the detailed stats first… But some time later I could even open my stats with this v2 anymore at all! And now all I get is a blank page when trying to visit my old stats. I cant update the code, nothing. It seems like a miracle to me that I can post these messages on this forumn, because I can NOT log in when I am at the http://www.createblog.com/tracker/ - link: I am immediately logged off again and back at http://www.createblog.com/tracker/.... It just has gotten worse, not better. So yes, deadgodgirl, I worry probably just as much as you. We are all kind of dependent. At least I am: I would know how to do it myself, but I have tried many other trackers but they really are blocked from myspace. But it has no use to hasten those people that are now trying to fix it. I am sure they are doing all they can and I truly hope they can bring al those who need it a perfect tracker. But if you would have asked me, I would say the v1 was perfect. I just wished they had made it optional to choose. That way you would also be able to choose the moment yourself to do the upgrade to the 2nd version. One of my personal reason for why I am so actively tracking the progress of the this tracker right now, is that I actually need it RIGHT NOW and not like next week or so. But I am sure many of you do.

There is nothing anybody can do, expect those busy with it right now. So let us all be patient and hope for the best and try to give tips as to what does or doesn’t work, so maybe even be of assistance in locating bugs.

Please read previous entries and just accept that they are still working on the upgrade from v1 to v2. It is not because of what you just spontaneous realized: please read what has earlier been written and be patient. But Ill make it more easily on you: no, it is not because it isn’t tracking July yet. It is just so that the upgrade from v1 to v2 took place right at the end of the month and then it just stopped tracking because of the upgrade still being in process (I asked why there couldn’t be a secondary v1 option in the meanwhile, but was too late). V2 was only accessible for a short while, but now it isn’t anymore. Many of us just get a blank page when trying to log in to our tracker-stats. This many problems were probably unexpected and we will just have to wait and see.

New update: Is this the first step of progression?

I just tried to log in again to view my old statistics form June, which just wouldn't work just a few moments ago ever since yesterday evening. And now I CAN again. I can once gain view my old stats and I am not logged of immediately. So I can view my stats by hitting http://www.createblog.com/stats and then it takes me automatically to the v2.

But there still seem bugs to me:

• I still keep getting a blank page when I hit the link "Tracker code"... (http://www.createblog.com/tracker/code)
• formerly identified IP from the past month done by v1, are now, using the v2 upgrade, labelled "Anonymous", and the IP which used to be number are now just zeros (0.0.0.0)
• there is no longer an option to view the stats of just one month, now I have to scroll down the history, which is impractical.

Anybody knows inside-details on what actually is going on???

I also just send an email to the administrator, so hopefully he knows of more details...

I don't like it as much, but at least I'm getting IPs, # of visitors, page views etc. For some reason it doesn't register the time and date of all visitors, but if you check it once or twice a day you can figure it out approximately. To get the location of the IPs, paste them into any IP locator you've googled.

If you want it to be invisible, just remove the site link from the tracker code, and change the size of the counter in the code to 1 pixel by 1 pixel (it'll be a tiny dot that you wouldn't even notice if you didn't know it was there).

I agree. It's imperative for me to see who has checked my page because an ex-friend of mine was friends with a pedophile and he checks my page all the time and right now without me knowing if he is/or not doesn't help me because I can't report anything to the cops or his probation officer! Hope this gets fixed soon because as well as many others out there I have tried the other trackers and they don't work.. I am patient so I will try and wait this out....

Seems like a lot of crap to me, that hitstats tracker, so watch out for exploits: I will not even try it as a temporarily solution. I will not take the risk of someone seeing I am tracking their IPs – I would feel spied on too… But what is your website keeblo24: I am curious if I can easily find that 1 pixel tracker!

Eeep, now you've got me all paranoid! I've had it up for a few days now with no ill effects, so hopefully it's trustworthy enough...There are lots of positive comments in the forums, but of course that doesn't necessarily mean much.

And I'm sure you'd be able to find the tracker now that you know what to look for! It's a bit smaller than a period, but if you're actively looking for it, you'd find it.

NOTHING, im also christyA.... this is annoying but im not giving up, i like the new one & i wont touch my code b/c then we may lose it for good with all the crazy myspace rules. I think myspace is an A$$H**e, for not letting us use trackers... every other site have trackers & myspace wont allow it & knowing they are the biggest site of all... im annoyed at myspace!!!! so the new tracker will allow users to identify ips? is this really a good thing? a lot of trackers keep users anonymous for a reason. i'm kind of concerned about having my friends' ips available for all of CB to see.

I'm not sure about your final question, but your friend's IPs will certainly not be visible to all of CB. The new tracker does not allow you to identify IPs, it allows you to label IPs.

someone "labeled" mark's ip, and now i see mark on my list when he visits my site. so i'm assuming that when i "label" my friends' ips, they'll be visible to all of cb, too. see example here: http://createblog.com/tracker/ip.php?ip=68.8.225.89

YES!!! I hope we can go back to the v1 tracker... b/c honestly the v2 tracker is just... NOT good There should at LEAST be a choice since the v2 tracker is crappy... right now. And YES, where are the moderators here?!?! does anyone now any other good trackers i could use temporarily? i used safeprofile, but not always does it collect every ip address that visited. thanks!
