I could be logical and say money or food.

But I'm going to be a romantic and say love. It always seems to run out just when you need it most. _unsure.gif

I'm assuming you're meaning "anything" being material items here.
Because you can't buy ideas, emotion,...intangible things, with money.

Unfortunately, I beg to differ. People buy ideas all the time. If that wasn't so, we wouldn't have corporations or businesses. And, I'll be honest, if you hand me a million dollars, I'd be pretty happy. If you took it away, I'd be pretty sad. Money's more powerful than you think.

I see what you're trying to say, however, in this day and age, money makes the world go round.

Food for thought. wink.gif

I see where you're coming from, but I guess I should have elaborated on the idea part.
I mean...things like morality, courage, patience, etc.
You can buy items that can cause certain emotions, yes, but to me it doesn't seem real if it all relies on money. I don't really know how to explain how I feel, so sorry if I'm not making any sense, Brenden. sweating.gif
Ok, here's an example.
You can't buy love. You can buy items, palpable things to try and create love. (be it with someone, something for yourself, etc.) But I don't see it as the same feeling of love if isn't caused from within you instead of from the result of something like money.

I see exactly what you're saying. happy.gif You're making perfect sense. wink.gif It wouldn't feel real to me either. But, you have to realize, it's all relative. To some people, that red light special is all they need. For myself, having to pay someone to love me just wouldn't feel right. So, I see exactly what you're saying. Again, it's all relative.

It's nice to think you can't buy love, but if you really think about it, a lot of times money can indeed be the deciding factor. Me personally, if I loved a girl, I wouldn't care if she and I were living in a cardboard box. I have always been a bit of a romantic though. Realistically, we'd be under a lot of financial stress (one of the leading causes of divorce) and we would eventually be unhappy, no matter how much we loved each other. Things would in fact fall apart.

Ok, I'll let the romantic in me take over and agree. Money can't buy love, but it sure can aid in the process. tongue.gif It would be nice to live in a world where money didn't matter though. sad.gif

Ah, yes. It's all relative. _smile.gif I guess we both can come to that conclusion on THAT matter.

Ok, ok...you got me. Yes, money definitely helps in this world, but there are definitely more powerful things. _smile.gif

Oh yeah. Definitely. I agree with you, I just felt like being the devils advocate to spark up conversation. For me personally, I believe in The Beatles.

Well, a good conversation is nice.

Yeah, gotta agree with the love part.

hard to climb,
but once you get to the top
the view is beautiful."
