Feel free to move this. After I made this topic, I realized that it might fit in Relationships instead..?
Okay. Well my friend's in 9th grade and she weighs 80 pounds. That's REALLY skinny for a freshman. Everyday at lunch, she goes like "Ohhh! I wish I was skinnier! I'm so fat!" and it's NOT true. She's one of the skinniest people in our grade. Yesterday, she told me that she was looking at the models in a magazine. She told me "OMG! Their legs are so skinny! I actually measured their legs against mine and I'm so fat compared to theirs! I should go on a diet!" Umm, no. Whenever she looks at a model she compares her weight to theirs. Sometimes she says, "I should go on a diet. I eat like a pig." Which is NOT true. There's this really skinny girl in my grade, and my friend stares at her and constantly tells me that the girl's so skinny, she's jealous of her, she wants to be like that, blah blah blah. I'm getting sick of it. I keep telling her that she should GAIN some weight instead of losing it, but she refuses to listen to me. What can I do to make her realize that she's NOT FAT? Oh, and if I tell her something about "how bad it is to be too skinny", she'd act like whateve I said wasn't true/wouldn't care. |
