I like classical music. I sorta like anime. So it seems nodame cantabile would be a good anime for non otaku kryo to watch. Has anyone seen this, either the anime or live action drama? I don't like to have to sit through a mushy romance garbage show, but if the plot is good (and the music is good, which it is) then I might look past it.

I watched the first two episodes of the drama, it's very good so far. I lol'd several times, so I want to see how the anime is.

I finished it. It's really great. The only reason to hate this is if you hate music.

I love this anime!!! I've seen the first 9 episodes. It has really good humor. I think its best for people that are actually musicians or play an instrument because you can easily relate to whats going on.

I've only seen 3 of the episodes, since I haven't really had time to watch them. It's definitely cute! I could say that it's as humurous as Ouran HIgh School Host Club, but in a different way. While Ouran focuses more on the randomness based on rich life vs. poor life, Nodame Cantabile seems to focus more on the randomness based on life, in general. Ahh, food, cleanliness, music, etc. But hey, Ouran does involve some music -- remember the piano episode with the little boy who wanted to be a host? Awwww ;x

Actually, I could compare the comedy from Nodame with Honey and Clover. So random and the funny faces. <33

Yep but doesn't the graphics/design like how the faces are drawn look similar to the ones in Honey & Clover?

Ah yes it does. Like, the lines are a little more sketchy -- not in a bad way, but the lines in Ouran seem much more defined. I like the sketchy style, as it creates a dreamy and lighthearted mood in the drawings. :P

Although, the faces themselves look dramatically different from Honey and Clover, as elements like eyes, face shapes, etc. differ from anime to anime. But I understand what you're getting at. :P
