We all have had to once in our lives fill out some sort of formal application.Whether its a school application,Job application, application to apply for a drivers license.Whatever.
What are questions that you either wish you could leave blank or make up something? Mine are ones relating to my father like his occupation,or age,or phone number.Anything about him.Or questions about my parents marrital status. Then theres the big question about if Im ward of the state or emancipated. I hate going into detail about my emancipation and all that crap. And then theres also the criminal history......I always said no and then when i was 16 my history was cleared so i could work without worring about getting busted. ![]() |

Aww. I can see why that would make you twitch. :(
If I'm asked to describe myself or write why I would be a good candidate for _____ and why I want to do it. The latest form I filled out was one for a research position in a professor's laboratory and it wasn't easy for me, especially since only 2/3 lines were provided. |

I don't like it when they ask you about your parents income. You have to be honest about it because they can look it up, but people would flip if they found out what my parents made and then what they're left with at the end.
I also don't like answering 70some pointless questions. "Do you like dogs?" "Do you like to paint?" |

^ Oh yeah, I know how you feel. My parents farm, so they usually make what would seem like a lot of money, but after all the expenses they're not left with half of what they started with. There's so many expenses like keeping equipment up, feeding the animals, vet bills, doctor bills. It all takes it toll.

Income is such an incomplete number; there can be so, so many unknown expenses that you can't just put into a small little designated box.
Okay, so I like personal statements; they definitely let the applicant show something that maybe the grades don't show, but it feels like such a sob story. Like "FEEL SORRY FOR ME! IT'S PROOF I'M BETTER THAN THE OTHER PERSON!" WTF? But they work, and it feels necessary. |

If I'm asked to describe myself or write why I would be a good candidate for _____ and why I want to do it. I can never think of anything to put there either. I know why I would be a good choice for something, but I can never get it into words, or if I do, I don't think it sounds convincing enough. |

I hate when that happens. It happens when I fill out myspace surveys and I wanna delete the question but the number form might get messed up.

Yup, that's my main issue. I can't sell myself well. Talking in person allows you to convince the other person in a much better way.

I don't know if this really applies..but I never answer the race question. It pisses me off that it's even there. On a job application I hate filling out l"ast places worked". Man if ANYONE ever called the FIRST place I worked, they would have a story to tell. A lot of drama went down there, and even my parents got involved. We sued them too. ![]() Yeah i always leave it blank or if its offered the "id rather not say" or" i dont know" bubble. |

Eh. When people ask me about my religious beliefs. Some of my friends can get on these preaching rants and then they ask me "Well, do YOU go to church?" And I know if I say no, they'll be like "Shame!"
That annoys me so much. -_-; |
