Juna -

I can partially understand why you're so infuriated with this whole ordeal, but this isn't the approrpiate way to deal with it. You should know better.

As you all know, I was one of the earliest staff members, and that's how it's been dealt. It's been going fine. I respect Mona and Mzkandi equally, and I'm sure they had their just reasons. Keep in mind, they can fire whoever they want. Afterall, they are the administrators.

Moreover, you, as a staff member, shouldn't be copying and pasting the quotes from the backstage in to the public. Shouldn't you know what goes in the backstage stays in the backstage?

Why would they demod a people staffer with no evidence? That's ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as speculating that the admins and head staff 'made shit up'.

I understand the moderator's decisions to demote Kaycee, and that this is under their power, but I also feel that at least they should provide us with some reason of why she was demoted, rather than something silly like saying that "she got what she deserved" or something of the like. I don't think this should be some little secret kept backstage - people deserve to know at least a general idea of what happened. Obviously, not everyone is happy with her demotion and they have no idea why. You can't just discard something without providing a reason.

If Kaycee wanted the public to know, she'd have told you already, but since it's apparent that she doesn't, I'll keep that secret for now. _smile.gif

I'm sure the head staff and admins are modded for a reason, you guys.
Anyway, it's not like Kaycee can't contribute anymore...it's only a title member. And an excuse to warn me to 80% >:O jaykay.

^ Same, I'd like to hear what Kaycee has to say.
I do believe, however, that if the mods have come to this conclusion, then it must have been something really big. I support their decision, but I think that if it was one mistake, they should be lenient and give her a second chance.

Actually Stephanie, we weren't told the real reason.

QUOTE(Arjuna Capulong @ Mar 30 2007, 11:34 PM) *
You, yourself, were not even told a real reason as to why Kaycee was demodded.

none of us were.

which is really unfair in my opinion.

the hell, i support kaycee!

Viva La Revolucion!

Kaycee, arguably one of cB's most valuable contributors of her time, has been stripped of her position of People Staff. Why? We don't know, but that's what we're here for!

Since Kaycee's demotion, the administrators and head staff's only justification for firing her has been "because discussing it would tarnish her reputations further."However, this cannot be a legitimate reason for not telling the reason for Kaycee's demotion to either the community or even fellow staff members.

Because they apparently don't give two dimes about Kaycee! Not even one!

Why so defensive, Ms. Kandi? Hiding something? sly.gif

This is not the only situation where staff members behind the demodding of Kaycee have avoided the subject to be discussed. This is not just a problem among the moderators; if we have some corrupted staff members (as well as loss of good moderators), it will inevitably affect the whole community. It's common sense. This just shows that they don't want anyone else getting involved who could possibly see that there's something wrong with the picture.

Join the effort to persuade the admins and head staff to reveal the real reason why Kaycee was demoted!

Protest against Kaycee's demotion! If they won't listen to fellow staff members, surely they would yield if the community becomes involved as well. Sign here to add to the petition against Kaycee's demotion and make some noise!

I'm sure Moner and Kiera have their reasons to not disclose what happened. With Nicki and Kathleen's demotions those secrets were kept under wraps until a couple of days after the fact.

Seon Ho, are you really lecturing as to the appropriate way to go about things?

Honestly, people are saying that 'if they did it, there must have been good reason.' SO, may I ask, WHY?

I just think you're all to f**king stupid not to just take the admins' word for it...

QUOTE
Correction, I have some pretty good evidence

Actually, what he said is that there has been no evidence 'provided' against Kaycee, which is perfectly true. And anyway, evidence or no evidence, it's a bullshit reason to fire her anyway.

Moments like these really make me understand why Josh (uronacid) quit cB... You can obviously tell that what people do sometimes on here really are bone headed stubborn.gif Well I don't want to make a bad reputation for myself, but what I am about to say is what I think...

And I quote
QUOTE
BTW..this is a problem within the mods. You really don't need to be getting involved, we don't need any added drama.

Sorry, but thats a move a middle school girl would make. The kind when she tells her friend in front of thousands of people to not tell anyone. Instantaneously everyone wants to know, and by holding back it because "you dont want drama" is creating more drama than there would be if you already said it. So please... do us all a favor and stop doing this secret "kaycee's reason doesnt need to shared" because that it clearly bull shit.... We deserve to know as members of YOUR site, other wise we dont know what else your keeping secret from us. That only gives us reasoning to leave...

The thing I'm confused about is: who really knows what's going on? So many people are saying that they know but they can't tell, but who really knows what the problem is besides Mona and Kiera? Because I thought that no one was supposed to know and disclose that information.

You really did what was best in this situation. Causing more drama.

You handled this perfectly. _smile.gif
i'm not going to take sides, but i'd like to add that all the mods posting in anonymous shoutouts about this were equally as low as ac doing this.

This could easily be halted if you would just tell us the reason behind Kaycee's demotion.

I'll agree, however, to cool it until Kaycee testifies.

F**k this being dropped, it's already too big of a f**king issue because it wasn't fair, justified, or even reasonable.

This isn't drama, this is a f**king fight for a reasonable ending. I was given some shit reason for firing me, one that, I'm sure, had been applied to another more established mod would not be enough for demotion. And then I'm told to f**king keep it under wraps.

Well fine, I'll keep it under wraps. Why? Because it really is nobody's business. Even to the people that support me, and I'm so happy that ya'll are, but the reason is nobody's business and, I am completely sure about this;

NOT ENOUGH TO F**KING FIRE ME.
QUOTE(brownsugar @ Mar 30 2007, 2:55 PM) *
WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DISCUSS IT.
So you know what? We won't discuss the f**king reason. There's no point, because I don't even know why. I did something "really bad". Yeah, okay, I did some bad shit, but enough for demotion? What the f**k is that? They told me no explicit rule that I had broken; so why should I be fired?

Oh, yeah...I shouldn't of.

So now, not only can I not discuss the reason (or, you know, lack of reason) that I was fired, I can't discuss the fact that I was fired. Well, um, WHY THE HELL NOT? Because of hype?

Well, hype for a good Goddamn reason, then.
