Ah, yeah, I agree. I've never read any Anne Rice books but I've seen Interview with the Vampire, which was interesting. I started laughing when Lestat's head gets...well, yeah, by Louis. I'm just weird that way. XD;

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is a good author for being so young. Some of her books are Demon in My View, In the Forests of the Night, Midnight Predator, and Shattered Mirror. I've read all but the last one.

Model is a Korean manga, so it's actually called manhwa. _smile.gif Definitely read it. Ken is hot. xD

What's your name, by the way, mishyerr? I think I knew it at one point and then forgot it 'cause you're not on as often as you used to be. pinch.gif

Count me in as well!

I used to love Anne Rice books, and every other vampire novel I could get my hands on. I don't like movies of them, though...

Great club!

I checked out Sweet Blood... (or something like that *checks* yeep) by Pete Hautman from the library today. I'm excited. happy.gif

QUOTE
There are only two races that matter: the Living and the Undead....and with every year that passes, the numbers of the Undead grow. It is inevitable.

So says Lucy Szabo. She has a theory: Hundreds of years ago, before the discovery of insulin, slowly dying diabetics were the original "vampires." Lucy, a diabetic herself, counts herself among the modern Undead.

As Sweetblood, she frequents the Transylvania room, an Internet chat room where so-called vampires gather to discuss all things goth. But Draco, one of the other visitors to Transylvania, claims to be a real vampire — and Lucy's not entirely sure he's kidding.

As Lucy becomes more involved with the goth/vampire subculture, everything in her life begins to unravel. Her grades plummet, her relationship with her parents deteriorates, and her ability to regulate her blood sugar worsens dramatically.

Then she meets Draco face-to-face, and he invites her into his strange world. Lucy realizes that she needs to make some difficult choices — if it isn't already too late.

Pete Hautman's new take on vampires is a disturbing and fascinating story about an intelligent, cynical teen reinventing herself in the face of a chronic illness.

Yeah, I've read Sweetblood. The theory about diabetics being today's vampires is awesome even though I don't agree with it. It's a really interesting way to look at it. happy.gif

Oh my god, read The Vampire Armand. It's one of the most amazing vampire books I've ever read! I've read it many, many times. It has a lot of erotic moments in it, though; homosexual and hetero; so if you're not into that, then.. shy away! ;]

I haven't read Model in a while.. but I remember I liked it. <3

My name is Michelle, but some people call me Mishy. I have no preference. ^_^

Yeah, I have Hawksong too...and I also haven't read it. It's part of a series that I didn't read the first book of, so I'm gonna read that one first before starting Hawksong. That way I won't be confused about what's going on.

Model is seriously throb.gif.
Welcome to the club, Amanda! :]

Cool, I like Interview with the Vampire too. I found it really funny when Lestat's head gets chopped off by Louis, I don't know why. The blood just looks so incredibly fake. I couldn't help laughing.

The part where Claudia hides the woman's body beneath dolls on her bed is freaky though... pinch.gif

Oh, do you read Vampire Knight and Model?
