Hi, my name is Kaycee and I can't draw for shizzles. Even my stick people are out of proportion. However, I know tons and tons of people who are amazing artists, and have been so for the longest time, but there is one thing I've always wondered about artists:

Does it come naturally? Do you have a natural urge and ability to draw well? Or have you worked hard to learn how to be a good artist?

I think it's a bit of both. Even when I try hard to draw, it comes out as less than okay. I think it's mostly more nautally, though. I know a couple of people who try a little, and come out with AMAZING art. I really don't understand what I just said.. It's hard for me to explain..

Same with me, I suck at drawing.

If I practice the same thing over and over again, Ill get a little better. But it doesn't help much.

Hello. I'm a failure at drawing as well. I suppose it comes naturally to people who are born with the artistic mind and hands. I guess it helps to be creative and be dexterous. Practice doesn't always make perfect though.

I'm only good at "doodling", meaning whatever comes to mind. Half the time they just look like scribbles, so I just throw them out. I like sitting in class and just doodling.. it's very relaxing.

I sound like a freak.

I don't draw just normal stick people.
My stick people are sexy.

i didnt even know i can draw until this year O_O LOL, it just come naturally for me i guess XD

I can't draw and it saddens me. I go to an art school and there are so many amazing drawings and paintings and it's like.....ugh!!!! *shakes fists*

With dedication people can become good drawers, but that takes time and patience. I've seen plenty of people do it though. I draw for practice when I have spare time, which I don't have a lot of lately.

art teach you how to be patient.. alot.

I have often considered that being a good artist has both to do with technique and with being able to express something with your art; so in a way, it is possible to compensate a drawing that lacks content with fine artistic details (90% of marvel comics, for example) or viceversa (90% of webcomics), and still come up with a good drawing.
