How do people become mentors, what are their roles anyway?

Okay well by that it says ex-head staff. Then can Suzzette be a mentor? I really think she deserves that much. Shes one of the most active ex staff members and she still here today and posts a ton throughout the community.

Basically a regurgitation of what was just said.. but entors are typically former administrators or head staff members who have been asked to stay with the staff team because of how they contributed to createBlog during their time as a moderator. They do not actively move/close topics but rather voice their opinions on administrative issues.

And Holly, again, all Suzzette has to do is contact Keira or Mona about it.

I explained yesterday that if Suzzette is interested she can contact us. And the part including ex- headstaff members looks it must have been modified once the expectation was made for either Sammi or Carrie.

I'm going to say something to Suzette.... I think she has really good ideas... In my opinion, much better than sammi... >.>

There is absolutely no need to make a comparison.

Regarding the head staff verbiage, the key word there is "can." Sammi has been here for a very very long time and Ju-Sun, not Mona or Kiera asked her to be a mentor as far as I know.

Also, how exactly would you know what she (Sammi) does and does not contribute as far as ideas go?

And again - if Suzzette wants to PM Kiera or Mona, let her. She's a big girl and if she wants a mentor position she's more than capable of asking. :)

Everyone kept telling me that she couldn't become one because she was ex-head staff, not an ex-admin. -shrugs- thats why I got the impression she couldn't be one and brought it up, tis' all. Sorry to bring it up again.

It seems a lot of people have the opinion that I shouldn't be a mentor...if no one wants me to be, I won't be; I really don't care. It's not like it gives me any special privileges; it's just a word that goes under my avatar (oh, and oooh oooh I can see Backstage, like that makes a big difference). Make me a regular member if that's what everyone wants.

BTW, just because you don't agree with my opinions doesn't mean I don't contribute them.

Also, Christina is a mentor too, yes?

And I think that Christina was taken off the "Mentor" status awhile back.

This is exactly why. It seems like she's driven by emotions, I want someone who is clear-headed influencing the staff. Her throwing her position in what seems to be a desperate attempt to make a point really just gives me the impression that she's making irrational decisions because she's upset by what I said. I know nothing about the ideas she contributes back stage, but as far as what she says on the board... ugh... I just don't like it. It's not about what everyone wants, it's about what's best.

I guess that I would like her to stay if she would just stop giving me this undeserving attitude. I never did anything to her.

I like suzzette because she has a clear-head, and no matter how pissed she gets she still has the ability to keep her head on and make decisions and state opinions that aren't backed by spite.

I'm confused. Exactly why refers to what? And you're not the only one that agree she shouldn't be one? Backing up your statements would help.
