I don't really get what you're asking. blink.gif
Are you ashamed to be a Christian? Is that why you don't tell them or is it that the subject never comes up. I am a Christian but I don't walk around screaming it to everyone so not everyone knows. If your boyfriends really is the most amazing guy in the world, he wont mind that you two have different religions. Just start getting on the subject one day.

Well Cathloic and Chrisitan is not that bad.
Bottom line is that both of you worship the same God.
I won't comment much on religion here as it can be a touchy topic.
If he is that wonderful, he would over-look the fact that you are Catholic.

Luckly he was not muslim, or you would have had a big problem!
You would have to convert to Islam to marry him or, he would have had to leave Islam and be an out-cast.
In certain muslim countries, leaving Islam can be punished by death.
Just some random comments.

Best of luck,
Max

People think I'm athetist because I say I never went to church ever (even in the weddings that I participated in were not held in a church) and because I happen to get along with athetists more than Christians and Catholics. But I am agnostic. So techinically I don't have a religion to believe in.

You shouldn't be afraid of your bf from knowing that. If you two really have something and want to be together, are you going to let religion get in the way?

Yeah, I don't really get what you're asking either. If your relationship is strong then religion shouldn't matter that much.

I'm agnostic and I'm not sure how many people know that, but it doesn't really matter anyway.

i'm a christian, and i'm not ashamed of it. i tell people all the time =]
agnostic means you believe there IS a god, but don't necessarily believe IN god. if you get that...
athiest means you don't believe there's a god at all.

Most of my friends are Christians and they all know I'm agnostic and we're cool with that. I'm sure if you're friends and boyfriends are that great, they would understand you.

I'm not exactly atheist, and I'm not really religious. But since my mom's Buddhist, I tag along with her to the temple often. So technically, that makes me Buddhist. However, I consider Buddhism more of a philsophy rather than a religion at times though. Most of my friends are Christian, and I still go to church with them sometimes, but I don't pray with them to God.

They should be able to tell by the way you act. That's all I know?

I'm agnostic, and I'm pretty sure that my friends know. I guess you don't really have to tell people you're Christian unless it comes up. shrugs*

If you feel you must, then you should just tell your boyfriend that you are Christian. Maybe he'll be relieved, since Christianity and Catholicism are similar. ^_^

You shouldnt worry about it, he'd be retarded if he didnt like the fact that you're a Christian. The Catholic faith is pretty similar to Christianity, so dont worry. happy.gif

Well, personally, I pretend to be one thing, and hide what I truly believe. My parents threw me in a Christian school 6 years ago, and ever since then I've lied to kids that I go to church, and that I'm a Christian. But I'm starting to think I'm agnostic. mellow.gif
I grew up never really having a religion. My family's Baptist, but we never went to church or anything. Just celebrated Easter and Christmas.
But if kids/teachers knew that I didnt believe the way they all believe, i'd be a total outcast. Literally, i've seen it happen.

I hate it. I hate having to fake who I am. sad.gif

well, by heart i'm 1/2 jewish 1/2 catholic. but, i got converted to a full jew. even though i really do consider myself only half, because that's what i was at birth. but i'm starting to think i'm agnostic. because like, there is a god, and i believe in him, but i don't pray. and i'm not religious, AT ALL. but i'm not atheist, because i DO believe there's god. so, yeah.

but anyway. if your boyfriend is the greatest, he should understand. many people marry other religions, that's why i was born 1/2 jewish half catholic.

I'm not sure that people even think I believe in anything. I'm a buddhist. Most of my friends are catholic or christian. Mostly catholic. I don't judge them by their religion. _smile.gif I'm sure they don't do the that either.

It pretty much is I guess... a Catholic is a Christian in a sense (by believing in Christ). The main difference (as far as I know) is that Catholics put Mary (Jesus' mother) up there with him and God. Meaning, they worship her in the same sense they worship God, since she was the chosen one to give birth to the savior. There are other things too, but I think thats the main difference. thumbsup.gif

Ehh. I'm kinda in the same situation, except I'm not really Jewish.. hahah. My grandmother was Jewish though, so I guess I kinda am. Technically, I guess I'm baptist, because thats how I've been raised, but I'm not religious at all. I believe in God, but thats pretty much it. _unsure.gif

I'm Buddhist. I don't really care for the other person's religion, if I like them, I'll just let them know my religion if they're religious and see how they take it.

Tell him you're Christian. I mean, Catholicism is part of the Christian community, so you're like amost the same.

I'm Catholic, and most everybody knows it. mellow.gif
