2 more weeks 'til the Wii version! Man, I cannot wait! This will be amazing. I'll probably wait 'til the Gamecube version that comes out on December 12th simply because I'd rather play it with the GC controller as opposed to using the Wiimote. I mean, the Wiimote is freakin' awesome but I'd rather have my Zelda with just a regular controller.

God, this game is absolutely amazing. It's been getting perfect scores across the nation. Better then Ocarina of Time? With 70 hours of game play I can't be certain, but it's looking like it could be. What do you guys think?

So my little brother got this for the Wii a couple of days ago, and it could quite possibly become the best game I've ever played so far, that is, for single player.
Though, I've only been playing it for about 3 days, it's been very impressive. I'll just have to see how the ending and the other extras go. Oh yeah, and the play with the Wii remote is pretty cool. Definitely adds a little spice to the gameplay. |

^ You won't be disappointed. The ending was great. So were all the forms of the final boss battle.

I finished this game a while ago, and to be honest, I was somewhat disappointed near the ending.
![]() I mean, the game had great momentum from the beginning, but when you got near to the end of the game, it didn't quite have that "epic" feel that the other Zelda games have had. And the final boss was incredibly easy. It's a succeeded as a Wii game, but as a Zelda game, I'll stick to Ocarina of Time. |

^ Of course, when you take a step back and look at the whole playing field, Arjuna, you have to realize that when Ocarina of Time came out, it was so far ahead of its time. That's what made it such and epic Zelda game. Same applies for A Link to the Past for the SNES. But now with everyone and their mother making these huge, epic RPGs, it's much harder to capture that epic feel. That feel has become a standard now a days for video games.
We have to look at it compared to games today. It definitely was the most epic adventure to come out last year, and that's why it has won Game of the Year for 2006 across the board. And yes, I'll agree that the ending wasn't as huge as I'd hoped, but I was asking for a whole lot after that whole Wind Waker trip they went on. I think it's a little much to say this game was disappointing in any aspect. We expect so much out of the Zelda franchise that it's become an almost necessity to have this ground breaking game as a result. It's just hard to do that now a days with everyone aiming for that same goal. |

While we're on the topic of LoZ. Should I buy/download Ocarina of time to my Wii?
Is it worth $10? |

$10? Heck yes. Wouldn't want to forget that fact that it's been nominated numerously for "best game of all time."

Wow this is an old thread.
Anyways, I bought this game about a month ago and have been playing more than I should. But I am now coming to the end of the game at 50 hours. Yes, 50 hours. Not that it takes me 4 hours to complete a temple/dungeon, but I like messing around, fishing, doing side quests, and appreciating the game. $10 for OoT? Do it. |

Twilight princess wasn't cell-shaded, it was realistic.
Windwaker was cell-shaded, though. Anyways, my boyfriend and I are huge Zelda fans. We went to Target, waited in line for a Wii, and Twilight Princess. We both beat it in about a week or so after we got it, the game was amazing. I assume it wasn't as much fun on the Game Cube, but I'm sure it was still good. |

^The one I'm playing is for Gamecube. I tried the Wii version for about 5 minutes. I didn't have much time on the Wii version to confirm my opinion, but I couldn't be anymore satisfied with the GC version.

That's good to know.
Although, I'm sure you didn't get as much of a workout as those who played it for the wii. =p |
