Have you ever not known someone's name when they know yours? Like you'd be having a nice, interesting conversation with someone and they totally remember who you are but you have this itching to just ask what their name is.

I'm usually on the other side, people have this tendency to forget my name. I've had quite a few conversations where we'd be in the middle of a conversation and they'd go "Not to be rude, but what's your name again?"

Yes, it's happened both ways; i have forgotten people's name and others have forgotten mine. But usually they forget mine, i try my best to remember.

Yes this happens to me all the time.

Them: "HEY BRENDEN! HOW ARE YOU??"
Me: "Uh... HEY! "

And they go on and on and I have no idea who they are, or at least don't know their name. Happens at school or the mall a lot.

Doesn't happen to me too much. My name is pretty simple for people to remember. Just a letter. Haha, there's plenty of people though who I know but they probably don't know me. Like people that my friends will talk to and then talk to me. Makes me feel like a stalker to know things about someone and they don't even know my name.

I'm pretty good about remembering names so I never have to ask "So what's your name again?" at the start of conversations, but I've had people forget my name sometimes.

Oh I know! I remember the bane when I'm like, toothbrushing or feeding my fish and I always think "DARNIT. Why couldn't I remember while I was talking to them?"

theres this guy where i work and his name is georage. and for some reason i just wanted to call him steve. so like one night i just kept yelling at him

'steve! steve? STEVE STEVE STEVE!?'

and he looked at me and was like

'wtf who are you yelling at?'
'you!!!'
'..my name is georage.'

Ah, I hate it when that happens. I have the most random people IM me on aim a lot as well and I don't remember them at all, but I suppose I play it off pretty well. Its happened in real life as well, I even got yelled at by some girl at school because she couldn't remember who I was

Most of the time people forget my name. I have an ability to remember names from 5 years ago even if I've only spoke one word to them.

For something like the internet, I usually don't pay attention to people's names unless I had one on one contact with them. Or I had to use their name.

I try to find the person's name if I had to talk to them. My last resort is asking, "What's your name again?"

I hate when that happens. They say to me, "HEYYY JANEEE!" and in my mind, *snaps fingers* "Hey...you!" Then I ask people what the person's name was.

Haha, this topic kind of reminds me of this kid who used to play baseball with my brother. His name's Eric and I always wanted to call him Andrew. He was okay with it though... lol... I don't know why I always wanted to call him Andrew.

^Haha, that makes think of my friend Morgan at school. She always gives people nicknames because for some odd reason shes bad with their real names so she'll give you this off the wall name that no one has ever heard of and thats your name for as long as you know her. Thank goodness my name was easy to remember

i've never had anyone forget my name, but i've forgotten so many other peoples names! it's so embarassing. i have extremely short short-term memory :/ it's not that i don't care about them, it's just that i'm forgetful.

this one girl that i met last year like last september and talked to for like two secs came up to me this september and was like OMG KATIE HOW ARE YOU? HOW WAS YOUR SUMMER? and i just was all polite and stuff, i remembered her face but i didn't know she knew my name because i had no idea what her's was. and it took me like two months to figure it out bc someone called her name and she answered. lol

It used to happen at the beginning of the school year, but not anymore because my school is small. But I still don't know some of the freshmen because some of them aren't in my classes..

I have been gifted with the ability to remember peoples names, but I can't seem to remember anything else... like my keys and shit.

Lol, yeah. Many times. I have bad memory, so... I even forget my own sister's name sometimes. :x Bad memory = </3

Yah people the other way around, it's the people that don't know me and I know them. They'll get my name semi correct, or totally don't know it...usually they call me 'Michelle' and I'm like...ok then.

It happens occasionally. I usually remember people's names, but some tend to forget mine. *shrug*
