I definitely think that Wicca is a religion and I see no reason why it shouldn't be. My dad made me so mad when we had a discussion a few months ago: "I don't know any religion that allows homosexuality, kid." "I know one." "What?" "Wicca." "Well that's not a real religion!"

That is so ignorant. Wicca is a nature-based, loving, accepting religion. We do not think we are the only "right" religion. We believe in all positive religions. There is so much bad propaganda about Wicca that I think someone should shut up the liars and uninformed losers.

But back to the point: Wicca is a religion and it's a good one, too.

Wicca is most defiently a religion. happy.gif

I was making a Wiccan website for IT last term (Because I'm Wiccan) and my new principal walked in and asked about what kind of site I was making.

Me: A site about Wicca.
Him: Sorry what?
Me: Wicca... a nature based religion... witchcraft?
Him: Oh! Did you make that up?
Me: *fuming* No.
Him: Are you sure you didnt make it up? Its not a real religion is it?
Me: It was around before Christianity.

Then he seemed to notice I was about to explode and walked away.

*shakes fist*

Damn ignorance!

lol.

And "a painefull euphoria" your friends not the only one!!

The whole:

"Are you gonna turn me into a toad?!"

Always annoys the hell out of me!

There is a topic about Wicca HERE.

That topic is really old, though, and this is slightly more specific, so i'll leave this open. But in future, try to use the search feature.

And yes, I most definitely consider Wicca to be a religion. It is no less believable than any other, and it is certainly just as spiritual...

THANK YOU!!! Finally, people who are not ignorant baboons! Btw, once my friend told a bunch of her friends that she was Wiccan and they started to shove notes in her locker telling her to go back home in hell and stuff like that.

That is so stupid and for one, we don't believe in hell, do we?

it is a religion despite what other people say..
i know how some people are and how they say that their religion is the only one, and that's not true to some people.

they never stop and think that some people have different beliefs and they don't want to be infactucated with of what they would consider "crap".

He does sound a bit ignorant.

I'm a Christian, but I have absolutely nothing against gays (my best friend is bi and another close friend is a lesbian) and I do think that Wicca is a religion.

Personally, I don't think that you can be intolerant of other's beliefs and still call yourself a Christian. But I digress.

Yes, it is a religion.

It's not. Christians don't support gay marriage, but we don't have personal problems with it.

I'm kind of iffy on the subject, but U.S. Law doesn't seem to think Wicca is religion.

Did you ever watch the video with the Circles of Delusion? It was my favorite. It offended people.

That is actually not true. It is officially a religion. I've read it somewhere...but yes, the law says that is is a religion and that, if we wanted, we could have churches. I posted this to see what others think personally. But it is really a religion, literally and in my opinion.
