Honestly, I think the only people qualified to be on People Staff are Seon Ho & Kathleen. I know many other applicants whom I hold near and dear to my heart as friends, but I feel that these two people are the only ones who have the experience and dedication to mod well. Despite the controversy surrounding them, they are the only two applicants whom the moderating team should hire, imo.

edit: You're right, Suzzette. But I still think Kathleen should be on staff, even if she's Xanga Staff.

James gets my vote. And James. Because this is, of course, a democracy...sheerly because I say so.

^yeah he did.

I'm still for James (the brit), I have been since the hiring when I was first a mod (four score and seven years ago...). He may have pissed a few people off in the past, but he has great judgement. He would also bring tons of new ideas into the team and he is active throughout all of the community forums.

Anna as well, for similar reasons.

I think Ann and Dee would make lovely being on staff... and even Tina
(why has no one brought up Dee? Whimsical 0ne)
Sean Ho... NO
Rudest person I've ever seen allowed on a forum...

I remember there was a rule that all mods must own at least one blog (when I was still on staff)... is that rule still being implemented?

^ Well, to apply you must be an official member, and to be an official member, you must be advertising CB on either xanga/myspace, etc.

so by default, yes, i guess

Not really. I'd rather see the board fail, so I have more to complain about later.

yeah, I guess I'll do it in feedback

Actually, since I'm like fairly good down in the mix, I don't think it would be fair for me to talk about the other potential mods, so I'll do it after the hiring process is over.

the most i agreed with was this ..somewhat
QUOTE(Uronacid @ Jan 4 2007, 11:40 PM) *
- The CB environment:

Members: This site thrives on it's members. It's the members that make this site what it is. Without users this site wouldn't mean anything. We will always have a need for more members. New members on this site need to be appreciated and welcomed. They have to feel as if they apart of this community. Instead, new members on this site are faced with a cold and harsh world. Honestly, there are so many "clicks" on this website that it hasqu become an extremely hostile environment. I don't care about mentioning names in this situation. I have seen plenty of new members enter the Relationship forums only to be cussed at for their stupidity by "krnxswat". If I was a new member I would have no reason to become a dedicated member if my first experience on the site was ruined by some jerk calling me stupid in the most offensive way they possibly can or bashing me for my less than perfect grammar skills because they can't find any other reason to make fun of me. Also, I see many people get away with things just because they have seniority on the website. New members and Old members should all be treated equally. I will make it a goal to stick strictly to the rules of the site, and treat all members fairly.

i agree with this 76 percent. i remmber being a noob not too long ago and i got bashed out of no where.[it was taken care of] but even i as a mod would want anynew member to feel as if they were welcome to come and post here. i remmber my first couple weeks here i can openly admit that i was self conscious about starting topics for the reason that someone might find one thing wrong with my topic and go on and on about it.
so i do agree &support him on that.
however i dont feel there are cliques on here i think there are just that one group of people on here that can relate to you that you always talk to and feel like they have your back somewhat but with that ive never seen any "hostility" of any kind
then theres the part about new and old member superiority
ive never seen it on here i find that all members get treated equaly ive seen threads of all kinds get closed noob or not to me its all the same.
but i dont know.
thats kinda how i see it with him
im done rammbling

I didnt bother to read his application. He is extremely irritating, commands ZERO respect from anyone who he speaks to, and frankly, has shown himself to be deluded to the point where it is pitiful on several occasions.

I, on the other hand, am charming and delightful to all.

Well, we all know you can't handle staff.. I mean, didn't you quit in like... the first week that you got on... oh, wait.. you were....

FIRED!! XD.gif

mmhmm...true mod material. sorry, but i'd have to disagree with josh being on staff especially with what he has said recently in the moderator changes thread. he acted as if staff was comprised of elitist leaders and that his little sunshine was mistreated. he always made it seem like he would never want to be on staff after dissing kathleen over nothing at all. i don't know, but it seems that his application is a way of redeeming himself for what he's said. although, he does present some nice ideas, i don't think it'd turn out good.

found it...

Yo Yo you... you need to cool your jets. Did I ever say I wanted to be on staff... After seeing all the B.S. my sunshine has to put up with... I wouldn't even want to be on staff... *sigh* I guess I would want to be paid if I had to put up with all the crap that comes out of this community.

*yawn* Sorry, I just woke up.

Well, my application has nothing to do with redeeming myself. I see that this site needs something, and I'm ready to find out exactly what it is. I'll do my best if I'm on staff.

Do I want to be on staff?
Hmmmm, I wouldn't mind. I guess you could have taken what I said and think that I would never want to be on staff. Erf... yeah, pretty easily... Well, can't defend that, and I wont' take it back. I will say this though. I do feel as if the staff members are used and abused. They need to find ways to give staff members benefits for being on staff...

At the moment it seems like the only thing you receive is "extra responsibility". This is no incentive to work hard.

I am going to remind everyone to please keep this to staffing commentary/suggestions/criticisms only.

Any conversations outside of that need to stop right now in this thread and please, no bickering. (Not there is any yet, I'd just like to have that prevented).
