lol so i went to my local A.E. because i wanted to check it out, they just had a makeover in my mall, they transferred to a bigger location and it looks so much better. But what surprised me was the nice clothes they had. i was like whaaa? when did this all happen...

I seriously wanted to buy the whole store. i stopped shopping there like 2 years ago cause i thought it started to get played out but now i love the store again....

even though i think they copped some designs from hollister cough::: ahah but i still like their clothes much better..

and their bird got a little bigger, i have a shirt from two years ago and it was much smaller than the ones they have now.

does anybody agree their clothes got better?

<3 AE

I spent over $50 in there this week. :/ I'm pretty sure the size of the bird is different on different shirts. The size is all the same on all my AE shirts, and they were all bought at different time intervals.

I agree.

I used to really hate AE.
Would have a thing against going in there in the mall.
But the men's line has seriously stepped up a notch.
I bought about 3 things from there for my boyfriend this christmas.

yeah, AE turned better. i used to hate it cause it just took designs off of hollister/abercrombie but they put some new fresh designs of shirts/sweaters on. that's what i like about it now. =] i'd rather have hollister&abercrombie though cause AE isn't really my style.

They're trying so hard to be like Hollister and A&F like you said, but it's kind of dumb because their prices are just as expensive, if not more. I saw a sweater in there for $49, and even Hollister would be about $10 cheaper. I still prefer Hollister and A&F over AE anyday.

I only buy AE's Winter Collection. Their Winter Collection is always the best. They did get better but their shirt quality got worse. I mean, the short sleeve t-shirts for girls. They used to have better material but now it's not as good.

I still like A&F and Aeropostale. I'm not a big fan of Hollister but I do like their jackets.

I've always liked AE. It's not too preppy-ish & even if they did "copy" Hollister, well, I still like it.

American Eagle is decent. Not as bad as Hollister or A&F .. but it's aightt. I'm feeling the jeans. Not a prep fan, but I can live with it.

I always thought AE had good clothes... I love their new Aerie line. those bras fit me better then victoria's secret ones XD.gif

The stores around here haven't had "makeovers" yet though. I think the clothes are getting more... designed. like it's not just simple stuff. they have military jackets and ruffled shirts. it's nice.

..it's a prep store. what do you expect? all the stores (A&F, hollister, AE, aero, ect. ect.) literally all have the same clothing. prep stores all have one thing in common: copying looks from each other.

it seems to cliche to me now
like, american eagle to me just feels like the more generic brand of hollister and a&f even though prices are beginning to rival each others
i know it isn't, but to me it just feels a little more generic

I LOVE AMERICAN EAGLE.
I cannot express how much I love this store. Gah. Yeah, i shop at Hollister too but i always like AE because their material is so much better quality and they will actually have DECENT things on sale, unlike A&F. and they have the best quality jeans...I usually cannot leave that store without buying something _smile.gif

I dunno if anyone brought this up. But Ae has a pretty cool club where u join for free. and u get stickers with bar codes on them. Um when u buy stuff from AE u get credicts... which leg to percentages off on ur next purchases.

this came in handy for the holiday season.

^ Hm, yes! The AE All-Access Pass! I think it's fantastic.

Angel_Revelation: Yeah, to Hollister & Abercrombie. It matches up to the A&F sale clothes. But also, AE's targeted range is larger than A&F so their clothes are very... broad?
