so I went to a party at my friend's house, and it wasn't exactly a sober party.
and there was this guy there that I had met a few times before... and we both had a few drinks... and by a few I mean a lot.... and the rest of the night was kinda a blur. so I wake up the next morning, and it's one of those "oh crap, what did I do last night?" mornings. I was proud of myself, I didn't have sex with him... but I did ask him out... and he said yes... so I was just sorta hoping that he'd have forgotten about it... I mean, I didn't even know him. but then he called me that day and i knew he remembered. and he was really sweet, he showed up at school to eat lunch with me and stuff (he dropped out earlier this year) and he just all around sounds sweet... but I'm not sure how much of that is him being manipulative... I've had some bad experiences with various significant others, and I have issues believing people when they act like that. Because I've come to realize that its usually just that - an act. and I've heard some other things from other people. for instance, one of my friends was saying that he was denying the fact that we were going out. And right now, I'm wondering if I should break up with him... not because of what my friend said, but because I really dont know him... what do you think i should do? |

Why the hell are you even thinking about this? Obviously, both of your judgements were impaired. Why are you still going out with him?
Something called common sense, buddy. |

I don't know. You should probably dump him. But I'm not sure. Give it some time. |

well unless you really like him.
If you don't like the guy, why are you even with him? |

well unless you really like him. If you don't like the guy, why are you even with him? I agree. If you aren't attracted to him, then why bother? He does sound sweet, but most guys act like that in the beggining. Some of them are forever like that, and some of them change over time/reveal the way they really are. If you pick to stay with him, then I advise you to ask him about denying about going out with you. If he lies and says he didn't and you're friend is telling the truth, then he's no good. Dump him before you get attached in any way. |

That brings a tear to my eye. We aren't just used cars! Guys also need to be treated with respect! ![]() ![]() ![]() Chill it! @ursedonah: you cnt base yourself on what you hear. if there is any ounce of truth then you can dump him but what if you dump him for no reason at all? it could be that rumours are only rumours and not true stuffs. why do you let rumors interfere in relationships - grab your guts and face the person to know the true story! |

Here are a list of places where you generally shouldn't meet the person you want to get serious with:
-clubs -bars -lounges -parties -on the streets of Tijuana -in the opposite sex's barracks of any military base |

If you don't know because you feel you don't know him well enough, maybe you should try to get to know him and see if you like him after all. If not, break up with him because you asked him out after you'd been drinking. You probably wouldn't have if you'd been sober.

well the guy i'm with now we hooked up at a party (no sexual intercourse of course) haha but you know uhh yea. both of us were impaired but then at the time we both agreed we wouldnt make a conscious decision until we were both sober. andd he called the morning after. so i dont know just go with it see if it works. if it doesn't then it doesn't big deal. you're young
