stubborn.gif What kind of sadistic a-hole would do that to a kid? He practically ran almost a mile for that water.

Just wanted to share.

Yeah, but that's just one guy out of many. That's the problem. Everyone wants to generalize Americans. You can't. We're all different. That's the beauty of America.

And I've never "wondered" why people hate Americans. It's because we sit here and take everything for granted, we're a filthy rich nation, and we have freedom. Jealousy is the reason most countries hate us.

Jeez. What a cold-hearted, uncaring soldier. Taunting the poor kid with a bottle of water and making him run for it?! That's pretty disgraceful. mad.gif

yeah I watched the video of the soldier playing soccer with the children. I just hope that more of the soldiers stop torturing Iraquis like that. They're there to help organize Iraq and make it a better country.

^ And you know, almost all of them do things like play soccer and have fun and try to make the situation as best they can for the citizens but of course, media will only focus on the bad guys like the one in this video. It's a shame really.

I can tell by the shade of his utilities that he's a soldier and not a Marine, but thats beside the point.

The "War in Iraq" is more or less a deathtrap for Americans. I'd do it if I had nothing better to do but ride on the back of a convoy patrol with a M240G. Why? Because one of my closest friends was shot and killed because he was giving an 8 year old child something to eat and the bastard triggered a bomb and killed himself and my friend.

I have no remorse. Make the muthafucka run.

I don't think you should judge a country/people because of one person who did something wrong. Your friend knew he would be in danger. He was doing his job. Soldiers' know they are risking their lives by joining the military. Many people have died in the military because they were doing thier jobs.
They were also helping a poverty-stricken nation, who needed us to go into their country and help them; even if some people didn't agree with the American's actions and decided to take thie own action.
What that person did to your friend was wrong. I understand how that would be troubling for you to have someone close to die. But, once again, your friend knew what he was doing and what danger he was going to be in by even joining the military.

It's pretty disappointing to find that a soldier would do that. What a way to represent America as a soldier.

But in the same way, why would everyone else judge American soldiers for the actions of a few? The media has mostly been reporting only in the hardest-hit areas, and definitely not all soldiers are cruel.

wow, it makes me sick to know that people like you are the ones defending our country. what on earth is wrong with you? how the hell does your friend getting shot by an 8-year-old justify tolerating people who torture the innocent? Iraq is on the verge of a civil war, and who is to blame? US.

I'll entertain this when you strap up and VOLUNTEER for a deployment. Its easy to speak politics and "voice your opinion" online but lets be real, you ain't doin' shit.
