Alright! So, who has seen Twin Peaks?
Anyone?

I had wanted to see the series for a very long time as I am a big fan of David lynch, and I just recently watched it in its entirety. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and consider it one of the best, if not the best, television series of all time. happy.gif

Um.. I love it. laugh.gif

I even liked "Fire Walk With Me" (the soundtrack, by the way is amazing).

I rate this among one of my favorite series, ever. Hated the way it abruptly ended though.

Billy Zane = LOVE Oh and of course, seeing David Duchovney (sp.?) as a transvestite was a real treat. throb.gif

Yay! I'm not alone!

Yeah, it's great. The music is indeed wonderful. I love Angelo Badalementi. And, when he works with Lynch, as he has so much (ever since Blue Velvet in 1986), it's always great. He really helped to give Twin Peaks that atmosphere it held so strongly, even into the later half of the second season.

For me, Twin Peaks reminded me so much of Blue Velvet, especially because of Kyle Mclachlan. I guess I really like Lynch mysteries.

I enjoyed Fire Walk With Me, as well. Despite it being much different. Far darker than the series.

Yeah, the second season ending was a bit of a disapointment. But, given the network, ABC was very relunctant to give Lynch as much creative control as he had hoped for, and no where near the kind he got in the first season. For example, the revealing of Laura Palmer's killer in the second season was against Lynch's wishes. Knowing that the network wanted to shut them down, Lynch decided he would make the second season finale a big middle finger to ABC. But, even then, no one was positive that Twin Peaks wouldn't return for the third season. Unfortunately, it never did.

laugh.gif Well, I'm Lynch-lover myself. ;)

I thought it was interesting how very different Donna was cast in the movie. I think Moira Kelly was a better fit only because she had the innocence of Donna pegged more so than Lara Flynn Boyle (who quite honestly, just isn't a favorite of mine).

I was ENRAGED when the series was cancelled. Everything else on was total crap.

I might have to have me a TP marathon.

God I miss that series.

Yeah. I would agree that Moira Kelly was better for the part. Making the contrast to Sheryl Lee, I believe, is far more easily accomplished with Kelly on screen, as opposed to Boyle. Yeah, Boyle is kind of, eh. I read some stories about her dating Kyle MacLachlan during the filming of Twin Peaks and having alot of problems with both Heather Grahm and Sherilyn Fenn. Heh heh.

Supposedly, some of the romance between Cooper and Horn would have been developed further if it wasn't for Lara Flynn Boyle. Although, I think it would have been important, either way, to have Cooper retain his innocence.

But, the Donna and James romance really started to bug me moving into the second season.

I'm pissed that it was cancelled when it was. Come on, we need a third season! cry.gif

Bump. Twin Peaks style.

Revisited the movie last night. Still love it. Such a creepy, odd, and demented vision. So much less compromising in comparison to the series. Like, barely any comical relief towards the end. Fantastic stuff though. thumbsup.gif

It inspired me to watch the entire series over again (which I should be starting soon). I want the DVDs. In fact, I'm wondering when the 2nd season will be released.

QUOTE
Moviehole.net says, “Twin Peaks: Season Two” has finally been confirmed for DVD – years after it was originally scheduled for release. Yep, seems David Lynch has finished scrubbing the negative (Lynch wanted the print to look pristine before it got a DVD release, apparently), Paramount has rounded up some nice extras for it, and the plastic company has come through with some nifty packaging. So, it’s a go. The DVD – ‘Twin Peaks: Season Two – Special Edition’ – will be released in Australia on Thursday 2nd November, from Paramount. (They’ll also be releasing ‘Twin Peaks: The Complete Collection’, which includes both Season 1 and Season 2, the same day). No word yet on the extras, but since its called a ‘Special Edition’, we’re guessing Paramount has slapped some stuff together for it. I assume the DVD will be out in most territories around the same time, if not a little earlier."

It's rumored to be coming sometime in the fall. Finally though. Better late than never, and this bitch has been dead forever (or so it seems). We've all been waiting for this. Hopefully, it comes soon, and with that "Complete Collection" deal. I'm so there. So f**king there.

Bumbx2. Still a Peak kind of style.

Uhhmm, as I had said before, I wanted to start the series over again. But, I haven't exactly gotten around to it yet. I started to forget character's names, and so I got scared. So, here I am.

Nicole, watch Twin Peaks with me, puhhhh-lease?!

The f**k are you talking about? I have no idea what you're talking about. You're crazy. stubborn.gif

This isn't the Buffy thread. Ressurect that shit, if you would like, I'll discuss with persons, maybe. But, yeah, Twin Peaks is way better than Buffy, seriously. wink.gif

Oct. 30th.

Both seasons, the pilot episode (remastered), and a metric-f**k-ton of extras. I'm so excited.

This thread is funny for a lot of reasons.

I need to finally finish at least the first season. I'm only on the sixth episode. I love it so far, though. I have a crush on Dale Cooper. Whoever plays Leo is a terrible, terrible actor. James is getting kind of annoying.

Thank you, but several of my close friends own the movie, and I need to see the series beforehand. I'll get it. I'll get it.

When I get the box set, we'll try to make it a marathon sort of thing (ala The O.C.).
Cause, I'm definitely going to be pre-ordering this thing from Amazon. It's relatively cheap as well, just $60. I'm pretty excited.
