sorry if i ofended ne 1 by saying these stores are "preppy". but hey, its wat they pretty much are classified. i'm not judging in ne way. hey...i'm the wierd one, i shop at both ae and hot topic for cryin out loud. oh well. lemmie kno wat u think. also i made my own list of wat i think of the stores (again, don't be ofended...i luv u all!
![]() *American Eagle: i LUV this store: comfy clothes, GREAT prices, cute tops and tanks for summer. great fitting jeans. wide ranges of colours and sizes for all body types. great quality. great variety of goods sold. even cute shoes to boot! *Abercrombie: ehh...not my store. WAY too expensive. not great size range, sales aren't really "sales". actually poor quality too. (i had a friend who's shirt she bought, the screen print was like to the side of the shirt when she bought it.) *Hollister: not too bad. good prices. good sales. good quality. lots of variety, but no so good size range. also the shirts can be too see-through. store itself can be misleading (see realted post topic: "funny thing with hollister") *Banana Republic: ehh can't say much with this store. i don't shop there. but it is expensive and has this older/yuppie/middle-aged feel. *Aeropostale: i used to luv this store, but i just went down i think. syles got more rediculous, too me. sizes were down-sized. way too fitted, and price range middle to high. also i went into there when they had a "sale" and ehh...i could get 2 of the same product for the price of one at anouther store like it. no thanx here. *Gap: i like this store, but only to a certain degree. their jeans are too middle-aged woman. and the prices can be rediculous. i mean common...$78 for a jean jacket?? common.... so thats it. hope this gave u an insight to the prepster world. again, if u don't agree with me, sorry, but hey, its how i see these things. feel free to voice ur opinion in a reply (after all, its wat its here for, right? ![]() |

Gap and Banana Republic aren't "prep"
they're classics. You wont find ripped jeans and beaters there, that's for sure. |

American Eagle. The rest of them are stupid. That's just my opinion.
![]() They're all over priced... but, then again, so is Pac Sun. |

These are not preppy stores! But some things in them can be preppy. I vote for AE. They have the most preppy stuff.

It's hard to pick between AE & A&F but I picked A&F.
Yea these are preppy stores. They just didn't add Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. In my veiw of preppiness is all those stores + these 2 ones. |

I love Hollister, but it's kinda too cali for me considering I live in friggin Columbus, Ohio! Therefore, I'm starting to go to Ruehl! More urban NYC scene.
Express is also nice, not so much as preppy as the poll's but yeahhh... |

i used to love hollister & i still think they're kinda cute. but my loyalty lies with american eagle. there is never a time where i walk in and dont walk out with clothes.
abercrombie is overrated. |

if you`re talking about stereotype prep, then i say abercrombie & fitch
if you`re talking about real prep, then i say lacoste & ralph lauren |

I think that when Abercrombie&Fitch is the first store that comes to mind when I think of preps, it is officially the prep store that pwns all the others.

Out of all of them, I'd have to choose AE, Gap, or Aeropostale.

I really like A&F clothes, I shop there alot now. The prices can be expensive, but I shop at the kid's store, lol-,-;; so it cost a bit less.
