The reason why movies and shows seem to be going downhill... because of America's fixation on beautiful people who can't act for their life.

Of course, that's just a generalization. There ARE those good movies that come out once in a while, but you have to admit... those types of movies seem to be getting fewer and fewer.

Anyways...

Beautiful, absolutely GORGEOUS, eye-gasm inducing people who can't act if their life depended on it... but who cares? They're hot!:

He is REALLY, REALLY hot but he's not a very good actor. =/

He can act, but he's not as good as other people.

Jessica Simpson. Oh, God, I can't stand her. She's horrible.

Aaaand Katie Cassidy. Not a big fan of her, either.



Oh, and yeah, I disagree about Paul Walker. I think he did an awesome job in Eight Below. One of my favorite movies.

^ I've never seen Eight Below, but Into the Blue was horrible. He was mediocre and Jessica Alba was just bad. It was pretty much the most boring hour of my life.

Josh Hartnett: Why he keeps getting cast in "noir" type roles beats me (roles in films like Sin City and The Black Dahlia). He's very pretty, but that's about it. I liked him best in The Virgin Suicides.

Speaking of The Black Dahlia -
Scarlett Johansson: She showed promise in Ghost World, but hasn't done anything other than stare with those doe eyes in any other role. She murdered Girl with a Pearl Earring and somehow made even someone as entertaining as Bill Murray dull in Lost in Translation.

Milla Jovovich: Ok, so I admit I'm jealous that she looks good in ANY hair color, but still. Other than Leeloo in The Fifth Element, I've seen better emoting from a stale can of soda. Ultra Violet was pretty much an advertisement for Loreal (the hair, the lips, blah blah blah). Her character in Zoolander is more painful to watch then me trying to get into a size 1 pair of pants. And believe me, that is a most painful visual.

Clair Forlani: Remember Mallrats? Funny movie, terrible actress. What she did to Basquiat was unforgiveable.

Others I can think of but don't care to write much about -

Katie Holmes. I wouldn't even list her because I don't think she's very pretty, but many do and any chance to say how wretched she is I'm taking up.

Sarah Michelle Gellar. It pains me beyond measure to mention her because she's Buffy. Having said that, she's Buffy. Period.

Hilary Duff.

All the actors in High School Musical.

Pretty much any Disney actor, to be honest.

Oh yeah. All Disney actors, beautiful or not, they just can't act. I think Vanessa is kind of pretty.. does that count? She's really bad at acting, IMO.
I think Hilary Duff was pretty (with the natural teenage girl look), but she could never act in the first place.

Well In my opinion, some of these so called movie stars cant act at all,I mean just becaue you rap or sing that doesnt mean you can act,thats the mistake most producers make when they choose a lead actress

I really don't see why guys think she is so pretty. I honestly think she is probably the ugliest actresses out there. And not even all that talented.

I used to think she looked like a man to me but she got prettier when i watched sex in the city but she is still ugly to me.

Brenda Song is a good Disney actress. In my opinion atleast. Maybe not all the Disney actors but most of them.

I always thought Jessica Alba could act too. Oh well, I guess I am a bad judge.

Alexis Bledel. A fan of course but of her looks and personality, not her acting.

Freddie Prinze Jr. I was his biggest fan back in the day, and it was most definitely not for his acting abilities.

Jessica Biel. Very pretty, but horrible actress. Oh, and you can include all the 7th Heaven actors in that one.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THAT.
She has like no facial expressions..
And she can't show emotion with her voice AT ALL.

I KNO ZOEY 101 has all her support characters that make up the show. SHES SO F***ING BORING. i

See... I liked Jessica Alba in "Honey"... but that's because she was a really great dancer. I also thought her acting was okay because it fit the role she played. THEN... I saw "Fantastic Four", "Sin City", "Into the Blue"... every single role she plays, she has that same sweet high voice and the same facial expressions. She sounds fake and forced.

Don't get me wrong,... I think she was really funny in the MTV Movie Awards and I'm sure she's a decent person... I actually like her... I just don't think she can act all that well.


Hm. Brenda Song... I've only seen that one movie about that cell phone that belonged to some huge music star. I guess she's good at acting ... ditzy. IDK... I usually don't judge an actor until I've seen them in a few different roles. Unless they completely don't fit the role they're supposed to play.

Jennifer Lopez. Gah... I can't stand her movies. She knows 2 facial expressions: "See me smiling!" for when she's happy and "Furrow my brow" for everything else.

I actually really like Claire Forlani. Mallrats isn't a great example of her work; I love Mallrats but it's one of Kevin Smith's worst films. Forlani does a good job in many of her other films.

It's Claire Forlani (with an "e"), by the way.

^ e. *noted* And I wouldn't consider Mallrats his best either, but still pretty funny at the time. She (well, and Joey Lauren Adams) just annoy me. Out of curiosity, what film(s) did you think she was good in? I've only seen her in Mallrats, Meet Joe Black, Basquiat and Mystery Men.

I didn't think she was that bad in Meet Joe Black. Antitrust was a good movie, too, but maybe only for nerds. I guess she didn't have an amazing performance in Antitrust, but she was okay for a supporting role. And I think she worked well in Mallrats, although not her best work, but who did have good work in Mallrats (well, aside from Ben Affleck, of course )?

^ And Priscilla Barnes as Miss Ivannah, of course. Best performance by a third nipple, ever. I've never seen Antitrust (at least not that I can remember). I guess she just leaves me dry. Beautiful, beautiful woman though.

Who the hell thinks she's pretty? I LOVE Sex & the City, but she's not attractive, whatsoever. She's a decent actress, nothing special.
