Okay, so I just broke open a fortune cookie, expecting to find a lovely fortune in it that I probably wouldn't pay any attention to anyway, but my fortune cookie was missing a fortune!

So, yeah, it's a bit random, but does it mean anything special when your fortune cookie doesn't have a fortune?

And while we're on the topic of fortune cookies, do you actually believe the fortunes in them or has any specific fortune meant anything special to you? _smile.gif

I'm not of a superstitious type, so I don't think it was anything other than a mistake. I do enjoy reading fortunes, but only because I get a kick out of doing the "in bed" game. :]

the factory was careless. haha. i don't know if it really means anything. eh. i read my fortunes for fun (=; take them as a grain of salt. some of them are practically meaningless, others seem to relate to me a lot. then there are some which aren't even fortunes, they're like proverbs =P

I love fortune cookies. But I don't pay much attention to the actual fortune itself. You should make them give you another cookie just because you don't have a fortune. I like how on the fortunes on the back they teach you chinese, even though i already know chinese.

^ Haha..yeah, they never usually make sense to me either. They're so vague, I guess so that they could apply to most people.

I don't really believe in them either, I was just mad that they didn't give me a silly fortune. sad.gif

OMG ME TOO! And then I'm like "OMG THAT"S NOT HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT!" sometimes. And I try to teach it to people, but they're too stupid to pronounce it properly..

I used to believe in fortunes. Stopped just recently because it didn't come true. It was like.. "Your secret admirer will leave you a note" or something like that, but that didn't happen, so I was like, "Screw this. I don't care anymore." and yeah.

that's interesting. hm never happened to me before.

i don't believe in fortunes because they're so mass produced and so vague that you can interpret it as whatever you want.

but maybe im wrong because of that one fortune cookie that actually had the winning lotto numbers on it?

I collect fortunes from fortune cookies.

Yesiree.

But I don't take them seriously. I, like Mistress Bags, am not a very suspicious person. I don't think that a small slip of paper can predict what could happen to me in the future. It's just...unrealistic.

But I'm waiting for a "Help! I'm trapped in a fortune cookie factory! Help me!" one to add to my collection, LOL.

I don't really believe in them. I mean, whatever fortune you get, could most likely apply to you, and as well as anyone else who gets a fortune. It's nothing too specific.

If I got some freaky fortune that said something very specifically related to my life, I'd probably be a little superstitious. And creeped out. huh.gif

Well, I usually don't believe in fortunes. But I did save these two fortunes I found in cookies. One says: A visitor shall delight you. [I really wanted my now ex boyfriend to come and visit me.] I got it last year on Halloween, and I still have it until now. And the other one says: Don't give up. The best has yet to come. [Ironically, this was around the time when that same ex boyfriend wanted to break up.] Eh, I guess we all wish for some things. That even fortune cookies shine us some hope.

I think a few fortunes in some of my fortune cookies have been pretty general overall, so I wouldn't really count/rely on it.
A few have been true, however, but that's just pure coincedence. _smile.gif
