I leave my computer on all the time anyway. I just cut off the monitor. It costs more to just leave that on then just your computer.

-shrugs- I thought most people left their computer on over night.

i do too. and i hate it when people cut it off because it takes forever to start up again. i just turn off the monitor like you said.

Ok people. This is something that really gets on my nerves. TURN YOUR COMPUTERS OFF. Even if it's a desktop. Are you people too lazy or stupid to turn off your computers? Can you not wait 1 minute for it to load from the manufactorers sign, all the way to the start up tune? Do you think it's cool to have, "Logged on for 10 Days" on Aim? No, it's not. It's stupid and idiotic. Even worse for laptops, laptops weren't ment to be on all the time. They get extra hot. It's bad for your laptop, it's life expectancy will drop by half. Your laptop will start crashing and slowing down, and eventually, not working at all for you.

OMG IF YOU LEAVE YOUR LAPTOP ON FOR A LONG LONG TIME IT OVERHEATS AND LAPTOP GO BOOM.

Especially if it's a PowerBook G4 or iBook G4. And some Dell laptops.

I always, always turn off my computer. Either that or put it to sleep 'cause using electricity is bad for the environment and it makes Global Warming worse.

Can't leave it on when i sleep cuz my computer will start to lag. And my computer turns it self off if its not doing anything. Its either my sis turns it off or i do. But we only turn it off if were going to sleep. Other then that we just leave the screen off cuz were always using the computer.

LMAO. that was funny. xD

well, i have two primary computers; laptop&desktop.
i use the desktop more, so it consumes more energy.
and my parents get mad at me for keeping the desktop on.
and if i use my laptop, i keep the modem on, too.
&so sometimes i keep my laptop on.
but then when i wake up in the morning, i either:
A) see that the modem is off because my dad checks before he leaves for work, or
B) the laptop lags, so i have to restart it.
>_< lmao.
