I don't accept the crappy stuff. Or at least try not to. I reject it in a heart beat. I don't even go near the layouts. Last time I did, yeah, that was bad. I stick with graphics.

Yeah, cB was all about having a high standard of layouts. Now...we've sort of fallen to the public's obsession with shitty brushes and images and started accepting those, too.

I don't think it should be about how popular it's going to be with the layout-using public with bad taste, but rather, upping the standard and attracting the ones with good taste over here. I mean, if they want shitty layouts, then they shouldn't be appreciated here. Blogring, maybe, but not cB.

Everyone has different opinions. But I think we have plenty of sense to know what looks good and what doesn't.

I think Mods need to go through all of the skins and weed out the ones that don't function properly... or images don't load...

^ Yeah, I think so too. I was going through the graphics earlier and there was someone with the same graphic twice. I'd be willing to help, if there is any help needed.

I was going through old layouts to get a feel for how the skins have changed, and I noticed that a lot of the text/div alignment in the old layouts do not match up in firefox. But yeah, the few layouts I linked were pretty old. >>;

^ I think it would be too hard to elminate for browser compatibility.... sure, it can be done, but that would eliminate A LOT of FABULOUS layouts that classic people made - it'd be too sad.

I think we have to determine which ones don't work at all - by double checking them in both FF and IE browsers

I've gone into the Graphics section many times to reject any that, in my opinion, are below standard and I'm pretty fair when it comes to that. But it takes such a long time. Not just because of how long the queue is but the number of pages of graphics already submitted, and I mean every category. You also have to deal with the large number of people bitching and cursing about why their graphic was rejected. -__-

I'm going to make my trips to the graphics section more regular. But yes, PM a mod or post in here if it's a long list.

Well I'm pretty sure that all of the design staff have been exposed to real graphics, so why are they accepting these crappy layouts?

I think the solution is simple. The mods just need to be more strict when it comes to accepting layouts, and set higher standards. Otherwise, as Rachael said, cB will cease to be known for quality graphics/layouts.
