Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

I think the next Fruits Basket is out now....
I'm not sure, But I believe it was supposed to come out in August.
So i'm going to Borders sometime this week.

I've never seen Fruits Basket...is it really as good an anime as everyone says it is? I'll have to check it out

the anime isnt as good as the manga. the manga goes further of course while the anime stops at volume...6 was it? and altered the ending... go for the manga if your into romance, comedy and drama this is a great manga for you.

I am back, but just for my beloved otakus.

How had everyone been lately? I know school is starting soon. Can you believe it?

So my friend bought me One Piece (the manga) for a birthday gift and I actually liked it.

I usually hate One Piece. The anime is a HUGE turnoff. Especially the dubbed version.

i started school already. it's probably not as bad as i make it out to be, but..it's somewhat fun, i guess, to complain about school.

gahh..i need anime to watch.
