There was that time when I recommended you be promoted back to staff. sad.gif I miss the golden days, with trish and roxy, and grace and frankie and all. Maybe kathleen should be promoted to people staff? or do other members think thats a bad idea. =/

It's fine if you're criticizing her, but right after she steps down? Improper time to be honest, IMO. Would have been useful if you said that when she actually was a mod. Whatever, though.

For one, she gave me a warning without a verbal warning. It's almost as if she had to warn me (in which case she didn't provide valid proof) just to justifiy her moderator abilities. Secondly, she obviously doesn't read Moderator Performance enough to know what's going on around here. Which is why, Mona, it probably wouldn't have mattered if I had stated what she was doing wrong. Third, she was never on as much, which is kind of funny considering she was re-modded? Furthermore, her posts are pretty borderline spam. They're mostly "Let's stay on topic" posts or very short replies..

^ Not all short replies are borderline spam.

James - I think was Mona meant was that if you had said she was a terrible mod while she was a mod then she couldve worked on those things perhaps, but you waited til she stepped down, which was kind of pointless, because she is already gone.. so the fact that you thought she was a terrible mod doesnt matter now. She cant do anything about it now.
Understand?

1. I thought you knew why you were warned, so I didn't have to "officially show it to you". I had even read a post of yours saying, "I wonder why I haven't been warned yet, either laugh.gif" or something along the lines of that before I even warned you. I found that a little disturbing and figured that you had been getting away with spam for long enough. I could provide you plenty of proof that you did spam if you need some right now, but I doubt that matters anymore since your warning level has decreased anyway. I'll do it if you want, but I only have 15 minutes left on the library computer and my internet at home sucks.

2. I didn't read those recent posts in mod performance because during that time, I was at camp, and when I came home, my internet had screwed up (as I had many times stated before) which caused me to not be on as much. You can't really blame me for that, can you?

Yes, I was remodded back in May, I think? I did it so I could help out cB more.

Also, those posts are borderline spam? Okay, sure, think what you want. Everyone has their own ideas of what spam is, really.

Okay, so I'm pretty much done defending myself. What's the use of proving how much of a "terrible mod" I was if I've already stepped down, though? Isn't that what you wanted? I still appreciate the critiscism, but I really wish you had said it while I was a mod. Oh well. I'm done.

I had said that because I was SHOCKED at how slow People/Head Staff were at even verbally warning us. I wasn't asking to get warned. I didn't intend to say anything until all the moderators got their panties in a bunch after I had rejoiced about you stepping down. You guys were the ones that wanted me to share. If you were going to leave, it's not like it would've mattered, no?

Sorry, my mistake to not give out as many verbal warnings. Though I thought the spam had gone on long enough for you to realize that you guys should've gotten much more than just verbal warnings, you know? I only wanted you to share because calling me a "terrible mod" was a bit harsh and was out of nowhere at that time, IMO. But if that's what you really think, then okay. I only wish that you had shared all that information when I was a mod because that would've enabled me to be a better mod.

Oh well, though. I guess I'll leave it at that. Enough with this.

You're supposed to go by the book, no? As I told you - I didn't bother mentioning anything about it because I knew everyone was going to jump on me for saying anything, as they are now. Again, it wouldn't have mattered since you were intending on leaving anyways. And yet again, I point to the fact that everyone requested of an explanation for my "" response to your demotion. My God. I didn't know having opinions were frowned upon here now. I didn't realize it had changed that much.

^ Having opinions isnt frowned upon, the fact that you were rejoicing her stepping down, and said she was a terrible mod without stating your reasoning just seemed rude and mean.

But its over now... everyone knows your reasoning, and such.. so yeah. The end?

What I absolutely love is that all the mods keep saying that people should offer criticism so that mods can improve and such, but once anyone offers any points that mods could improve on, y'all go backstage into your petty little conversation topic backstage to shit talk about them because you know we can't say anything back there. Ever realize that the reason mods don't spam around the forums is because you guys have backstage to go off topic in?

You want honest, here's honest. The wrong people keep gettting modded; yes, they may be competent, but they clearly don't care where cB is headed which explains its sorry condition right now. You (as a group) want honesty, but people don't give it because they don't want to face the backlash. You don't mod people who are capable of modding efficiently and decisively because you have something personal against them. So you don't like specific people as a group. It's stupid that you don't mod them because of those petty grudges. (AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT HERE, BUT NOBODY BOTHERED TO THINK IT THROUGH OTHER THAN JUST SAYING SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF "I AGREE" BECAUSE NONE OF YOU LIKE TO THINK. EVER.)

Why do you think members repeatedly go backstage despite all consequence? Why do you think some members actually get worked up about how cB is being run? Why do some members want change? Because they actually give two shits about cB. cB has long since gone to hell and many its best members have left mainly because of the judgement of the people running it. Seriously? Look at staff. Y'all are going to hate me for calling you out, but it's what everybody's talking about but won't say to your faces.

As head staff, Sammi isn't as active as she should be. Wanna argue that, "she has a job"? So what? So does Dani, and Dani is on cB plenty. "She went to NY"? She's been back since I've been back and I have yet to see her really do anything other than MotM, SMotM. Also, there's a huge difference between actively posting and actively modding. I remember when it was revealed a (long) while ago that somebody would be promoted, Sammi went on a brash string of spamming/closing without reasons. So that was in the past. What about now? In her past couple of pages of posts, she hasn't posted any mod actions. I know that some mods perform them without posting, but I'm willing to bet that she just hasn't performed moderating actions lately. Take this thread for example. Kathleen posted duplicate threads, Sammi skipped right over it, and Rebecca had to close it. Also, I may have never really liked her, but there are plenty of people who liked her before that don't like her anymore. Why? Simply because as her member title grows higher, she seems to become bitchier. I know I don't have specific examples of this, but really now. It's pretty much accepted that she is, and I quothe, the "Worst. Mod. Ever."

For a people staff member, Suzzette could stand to be nicer sometimes. I was talking to someone and Suzzette was described as "one of those [people] who's nice if you're on her good side, but she just flips out on you if you're not." Have some tolerance, y'know? And don't favor friends; it doesn't make for good modding.

And I know that Katie wasn't active because she was busy on vaca, but other than that, she seems like a regular member. And I know that staff is made up of members, but what I mean is that she doesn't seem to hold any authority over other members. No, staff members shouldn't be extremely elitist (but they are all the time *coughbackstagecough*), but they also shouldn't be pushovers.

I know Krista was just modded, but for what other reason than the fact that she's active and kisses a lot of ass? So she's sweet; sweet does not equate to effective. She comes off as extremely immature, and she has a tendency to spam (see quoted) and apparently doesn't even seem to know what spam is defined as, evidenced in this thread. She does know of old threads that were created, and creates new topics despite knowing that they're old. BUT, on the flip side, if someone else bumps the old topic, and it's duplicated again, she'll link to the old thread. Hypocritic? I think so. Yes, she's nice, but that's about the extent of it. It's the general consesus that she's not fit to be a mod.

Holly, well. This thread. Just.. ugh. Holly and her boyfriend were making fun of the original poster, and she didn't even chastise them for spamming that little bit or getting off topic. She closed it on the grounds that there was another topic he had posted for his MySpace, but when did she ever do that for anyone else? Dani verbally warned them in that thread, too.

AND HAY PEOPLE STAFF. TRY GOING INTO THE LAST THREE COMMUNITY FORUMS AND ACTUALLY MODDING ONCE IN A WHILE.

So maybe you did think the cB revolution was petty or the bylaws were a waste of time. But that's how the members who won't get modded try to improve cB. It seems, though, that it was all for posterity's sake, though, since the ONLY lasting thing we got out of the two of those combined was the feedback forum. Not even hiring is resolved. I've been here since the beginning, and so has Kathleen. We know how fun cB used to be, but nobody is giving us a chance back.

James, I'm mad at you.

yes, that was an accident, posting the link to the old thread. my fault. i'm sorry.

":ermm: i don't think this is pg-13"

how is that spam?

if i do recall the definition for spam, it's something like "lol" or " :smile" a 2-word phrase or something that doesn't pertain to the topic.

I don't know where you get the idea that i "kiss a lot of ass."

but thank you for the feedback. thumbsup.gif i appreciate it.
