Since Nicholas Sparks is so highly overrated (yes, that's redundant), I've tried to understand why by reading his books A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, Message In A Bottle, and Nights in Rodanthe; all of them failed to impress me. Were they touching? I guess. But all of them pretty much have the same running them of that lost love, and that's something already unbelievably played out.

As for A Walk to Remember specifically, I remember that Jamie annoyed the crap outta me because of her Christianity, but then again, I'm not into the whole god thing. I don't remember much more than that other than the general storyline since I read his works well over a year ago, and I'm not going to reread the same lackluster romance novels again when I didn't enjoy them the first time.

I think slighty is a bit of an understatement.

It's waaayyy diff from the movie.

The book is 4583154531845184248452486x better than the movie.

Eh, I dislike his books a lot. And once you meet him in person you hate them even more. He lives on the river here where I live. Hes a complete a-hole. I promise you that. His wife is rather nice though.

Hes like making a catholic school here.
Or was.. I don't really know whats going on with it now

I watched hte movie before I read the book and then got really disapointed. Before reading the book i thought the movie was awesome but after reading the book I was so disapointed in the movie it was nothing like the book.

hey. i finished reading the book. it was okay i guess probably because i watched the movie before the book so i knew what would kind of happen. it wasn't as sad though because the movie was different from the book.

it was a required summer reading for us last year. i read it way before then though. i liked the book more than the movie because the movie is like missing some stuff (i think, i don't remember). but yeah, i thought it was pretty good even though nicholas sparks' themes are like all the same and usually end up in a really sad ending

I read the book before I watched the movie too. After I finished reading the book I remember I was like, "Wait. This is written by a man?" omg.gif

Isn't The Wedding a sequel to it? Or no, wait. It's the sequel to The Notebook. My bad.
