I was kickin' it with my friends last night and we were talking about the ghetto. .. I figured why not share it with CB as well huh?!

So i was taking my friend home from this karaoke place called N-R-B in Oakland. I'm getting off the exit on the freeway and i noticed that i was headed towards North Richmond. I didn't know i was going there because he was just giving me street directions. I later finally realized that i was in North Richmond. That didn't bother me. what bothered me was, i was in front of this railroad crossing. . this railroad crossing is what they call, "iron triangle". it's supposed to be one of the most dangerous spots in Northern California. Well, he told me to go passed it and i did. As i was going down the hill, i saw these group of people on their lawn doing whatever they were doing. As i was approaching the stop sign, i heard them shout out something like, "i think ya'll are at the wrong place" and they started laughing. I got nervous so i rolled up my windows. My friend said that he knows one of them and that it was koo. After i droppepd him off, he gave me directions on how to get back to the railroad crossing. As i was going back, i saw so many people who were mean muggin' at me. I ran like 2 stop signs and then i eventually hit an intersection. All of the sudden, a bunch of these people came out of nowhere.. This big a$$ black dude with a strap tucked in front of his pants came on my left window and this guy in a black hoody came strait towards me on his bicycle. i was like," Sh!t.. i'm gonna get jacked.. " I tried to use street smarts and rolled down my window like an idiot. He said, "sup cuzz, need a nina or a dime". I said that i got some down the street. he then let me go. As i was headed towards the railroad crossing.. i saw hella people runnig towards this park on my right and they're jumping someone. i kept pushing the lock button in my car.. i eventually hit the railroad and a damn train was crossing.. i had the worst feeling of getting jacked right there and then.

The next day, i told my friend kevin from church that i dropped off my friend jung ho off in north side. Every time i see him, he goes up to jung ho and prays with him. I honestly thought i was going to die that night. It was worst than east oakland.. and i actually lived in richmond.. i never thought our ghetto was that bad..

so, how was your encounterment act with the ghetto? how did it feel? whistling.gif

yeah, i was walking around bored and i saw a white guy. he tried to jump me. then some black guy kicked his ass. and people thought the black guy was trying to jump me. so all these racist white and asian fcks came and tried to kick the black guys ass. he tried to explain, but they wouldnt listen. so i explained, but they still wouldnt listen since i'm mulatto. they only listened to the white guy who saw what happened.

just kidding. but nothing has really happened... the worse thing that happened to me was a car full of people following me. but i've got a cousin and an aunt who were kidnapped. and my grandparents have been robbed at gunpoint a few times. i live in haiti. not really the ghetto but theres lots of violence in certain areas. gangs and stuff. whistling.gif

that happened to me once..well, not as bad but my dad wanted to show me the bad sides of Boston so we went. It was scary.

Anyway, doesn't the word "ghetto" mean something different? Like it doesn't have to be tough to be ghetto right?

ghetˇto (gĕt'ō)
n., pl. -tos or -toes.

1. A usually poor section of a city inhabited primarily by people of the same race, religion, or social background, often because of discrimination.

Me too!

stubborn.gif AyeAyeAye yo, thats my line.

I got so many of them, I don't know where to start.
I do remember the time I was rollin with my cousins and they known for this type of stuff. We pull up at a gas station and I swear it was at least 20 thugs all hangin out in the parkin lot. Initially I wasn't scared because I'm thinking like Lil Jon, "Don't start none wont be none", but my cousin was driving a Lexus so I'm thinking for sure we are going to get jacked. So while we up in the car we peeping the scene lookin at the girls right, and then my cousin driving the car tells me "Yo why don't you go and holla at one of those girls." And Im like "Are you crazy!!! That could be somebody's girl" He was like yeah you right and we drive off, without any incidents occuring.

And I don't even want to talk about the clubs lol.

Ghetto pretty much means the defintion you found, although it is twisted to fit a human defintion of ghetto.
